These shots were taken probably in the summer of 1982 or 1983. Back in the day, we only had one helmet between all of us, so my friends and I couldn't race each other... This race track was in Don Antonio Heights in Fairview, I think. The other guys were from a bike shop named Bicrosser, along Q. Ave. Some of you guys might remember that bike shop. That's me in the yellow jersey, no. 52. 23 years later, I'm still riding bikes ;D YEAH!

i remember bicrosser. didn't it have a half pipe out front? i was a poser bmx rider though. i could barely do a wheelie or a bunny hop, and i never raced. i wasn't cool enough to go to a bike shop lake that.

@ bilibidboy... YES, some of them are very much still around. From what i can recall, these are some of the parts that used to make me drool (read: TULO LAWAY) back in the day: KUWAHARA frame, TANGE TRX cr-mo fork, that cr-mo handlebars na korteng ARINOLA, ARAYA 7X rims, SUNTOUR aluminum stem, SUZUE hubs, MONGOOSE grips na malapad yung dulo, DIA-COMPE MX aluminum brake levers and calipers, IRC tires, KASHIMAX saddle (kakalyuhin puwet mo sa sobrang tigas), SHIMANO DX cranks and pedals (very reliable until now), MONGOOSE frame, stem & handlebar pads. those who are not afraid to reveal their ages, share naman kayo. happy riding.

Stormer frame, GT epoch headset, Nitto stem, Tioga bars (nitrided black), OGK grips, Cinelli seat, Strong fluted seatpost, Thun 1-piece cranks, DX pedals, Izumi Chain, Araya 7C rim, Skyway tuff wheel 2 fronts, Panaracer tires, Dia-compe Mx calipers with quick release, Shimano DX levers. Sana i still have this bike Mga Bicrosser riders na nakilala ko: Louie and Dave Montoya, Dave, Jurado kid. last i hear si Louie M. ay technician na ng Sony Phils. , si Dave nakita ko sa Cali nuong 1992. not sure what happened to the rest.

thanks for sharing those pics turbo. brings back many memories for me. I raced back in the early eighties and had a great time... although I was never very good, nor could I jump. I took a 10+ year break from riding and even lost track of where my old BMX bike ended up. I wish it was still in my possession.

use to have a stormer too. but then changed to a haro freestyler, the one with a double barrel top tube. still have it around. araya rims, suzue sealed bearings, suntour stem, tioga hbars, tange fork, MKS graphite pedals, one-piece takagi cranks. i still remember my dream bike: PK ripper-tuff wheels-redline flite cranks. big time riders have 3 DX parts on their bikes. i love that dx cranks! those were the days. i also know the bicro boys- montoya bros, bong tribdino and dave. randy jurado is the brother of janice. was he a bicro too? i was with him in the berris bike shop team. i also know norman sacote. thanks for those pictures. you should also watch "BMX bandits" and see how good nicole kidman ride a bmx ;D Stormer frame, GT epoch headset, Nitto stem, Tioga bars (nitrided black), OGK grips, Cinelli seat, Strong fluted seatpost, Thun 1-piece cranks, DX pedals, Izumi Chain, Araya 7C rim, Skyway tuff wheel 2 fronts, Panaracer tires, Dia-compe Mx calipers with quick release, Shimano DX levers.
