yeah, what happened to that brand? i used to dream of san andreas...which according to one article, one of the best bikes of all time. it's still strong (in the US), but i don't know if it's being sold locally. although i heard a gossip a few years back that a second hand san andreas was available at quiapo. i think it was anshwa who said MC is going to have a distributor here. i'm also dreaming of the san andreas. single pivot, strap on a platform shock and you're ready to take on anything.

San Andreas Classic What can we say about this bike…
The Classic is the ‘longest running full-suss MTB in history”
Owners love them - in the same way as Classic Cars are collected by enthusiast.
Believe it or not - she's 20 years old this year! -MountainCycle heres the website www.mountaincycle.com/en/bikes/curent-range/san-andreas-classic.html

There was one bnew MC San Andreas (yellow) that was sold here in the Buy and Sell section. I was about to buy it but didn't push through the plan due to an urgent project. . It was sold for 28k if i'm not mistaken.

Let me ask you guys. Been a while since I was home so I'm not sure about the set up of the area anymore. Do you guys think Intramuros would be a good area to hold a Freeride session/contest? I mean start from the highest point of Intramuros & then meanders through streets w/ bridges, ladders wooden berms, wallrides & wooden ramps all the way to a finish line?
There would be pedalling but only for the approaches because you could build ladders & bridges to flow from one jump to another & vice-versa.

@ Anshwa,
A cross-country race was held there a few years ago, so why not a freeride event? It's definitely a good idea...

Yeah, Santino I think the place would be perfect. It would be something like this:
The stunts don't have to be as big as in the video, of course. Stunts could be smaller but with interesting lines so that all riders could ride them. Jumps must be table tops instead of doubles so it would be safer for all riders. For the bigger drops & stunts, there just need to be a run around for those who choose not to hit them.

isnt the San Andreas like on sale online for like $699 frame only? hmmm...... it goes for $1,200 if it's the latest model, but give it six months and with that price, you get a whole bike. lloyd, i was also eyeing that frame, but i'm hunting for a 2005 model or later. 2004 = sealed bearing on pivots, 2005 = hydroformed frame, 2006 = badge on headtube is no longer a sticker but a real badge.
