understand Nono,
IMHO, A Breakaway GROUP (UCI affilated) from goverment PHIL CYCLING, is the way to go for PHIL DH,
of all listed above these are true! coming soon.
1. CAMSUR bike park chair lift and 2. Joey would still be 4' 11" and probably a SEA GAMES Dh gold medalist.
I will add this:
pinoy DOWNHILL race will still use CELL PHONES to release riders that is,
if SUN Cellular 24/7 is still existing 10 years from now,
hehehehehe

Number 8 and 14 is feasible, easy
all we have to do now is convince AGA MULACH to try the dangerous sport of downhill racing. and his face will be protected by a full face helmet.
he will be the "spark plug" of the engine.
and a FILM about a downhiller will follow soon of course this will be a emo/drama love story
hehheheheehehehe
sleep na ako.

CWC is still focusing on promoting its wakeboard projects(yan priority nila hehehe)......im not saying Dh is a side show tho, they have a full size pump-track(DJ course) and a Canadian A-line Dh course, last i heard from luke was about buildin another track on the same mountain a full DH course......... and a chairlift system from the foot of mt. isarog to the national park in the middle cuz thats where the starting lines would be........ quiesledaddy........ dear papa edgar, grabe na hirap ng buhay and level of corruption po d2 sa pinas. The Filipino Society is eating its ownself into oblivion! naku po! The chances a nd opportunities na nawawala for our young athletes eh ganun ganun na lang, magka toyota fortuner lang ang mga walang-hiya! hahahahaha 10 years from now hmmmmm...........The community will grow eventually as long everyone does his/her share of enthusiasm for the sport. mga 5 yrs from now ima retire! get a 700sqm overlooking lot, build me a 3 story log retirement house in tagaytay with a big grill and a mini bar! keep an suv and a truck in garage, 2 indentical DH bikes , an a 250cc atv with a shovel, rake and pike! hehehehehe........ thats where i see me in 5-10yrs retired ... old.... building trails.... just kickin n riding... and still a mental disorder......... tsk tsk

Hahaha malabo ata si Aga Mulach.... But a lot of showbiz people and popular athletes already getting into our sport. Who knows, this might get the sport some media mileage. Even if most of them just ride xc/trail, its a start.
You'll notice this kahit sa commercials. There's even a big billboard sa SLEX of a girl mtbiker. Also a lot of former addicts, pkoer players and tambay sa kanto back home already getting into the sport. May bikeshop na din nearby. Hopefully we can get more support...
Good luck!

Luke should run the mountain bike scene in the Philippines. Luke is a guy from Colorao who was brought to the Philippines by Tony of ArrowHead Trails. Arrowhead develops trails all over the US. Luke is more of a freeride guy. He helped the province of Cam Sur design a downhill/freeride course. Tony did a masterplan for the province and conceptualized the pump track and other courses in Cam Sur.

With the way XC bikes are going, I see a bright future for DH. Just years ago, XC riders scoff at the idea of using an FS. Several years ago, 3' was just right for XC use- otherwise (having more travel), the penalty of weight would be at the back of your mind- not to mention the stories your legs would tell you during and after a hard ride. After the introduction of 3 inch XC rigs, who would have thought that Giant would come out with the Trance (about 3 years ago?)- one that can be used for XC racing?
Last year, Jon (aka MountG) bought a Reign. Who saw this coming? A gram goon who shops around LBSs carrying a manual scale! This year, several bike companies came out with 5' travel rigs- seemingly a compromise between DH and AM. Just last month, XC rider Paul (aka Freeman) put his xc bike on the market to get one of those sweet 5 inchers!
Just yesterday, I was told that the usual Licao suspects rode with Bans- a downhiller in every right (and this isn't the first time it happened). Now who's influence is rubbing off on whom?
We're on our way there. It doesn't happen in a snap- but it will happen. The way I see it, it's an "if-you-build-it-they-will-come" case.

I think a team representing CWC will be joining the TLBF Subic with him at the lead They are going to relocate the DJ / Pump track at CWC wala na yun for now, may gagawin pa atang new lake dun. As for the DH track at Isarog, my friend was there a few weeks ago and di masyado maintained na, grassy na raw course

Regarding the CWC, what need to be done is do not only the course, but proper maintenance.
I gave some advice when it started, and with adequate focus, i think it has a lot of potential.
Though having a downhill course is nice, there should be sufficient infrastructure support for the project.
