property damage is part of the game..... sanay lang cguro me.... lol good thing i use Altus derailleurs hahahahahaha........... tig P500 lang! I find it dumb to use an expensive derailleur for DH riding.... Voila! And i thought i was the only one! Long live the lowly Altus! Altus walang pAltus! ;D P480 lng dto sa probinsya. Shud hav seen, better yet, shud hav seen nd heard how my XO equipped riding buddy twisted and shouted when in one run a palapa ng niyog went up straight to his well-hung rd and ripped it to shreds! kaya nga di ba bads, bling da skill not the bike! Yeaaah ridehaaarrd, drink haarrderr! Sorry poser peeps, had too much tuba after this morning's ride - 25pesos lng for 1.5li,enough to satiate the six of us and leave you frothing in da mouth, ang asim na sustained pa ang tama, he he!

@ Ipis Pangkalawakan,
While we are on the subject of damage... what is the most expensive component that you have broken on your bike? Aside from the frame and fork, do tell us about your uh... methods of aluminum recycling.

@ Badong,
Oo nga ano? I overlooked the fact that the most expensive item one can break while riding is our very own skeletal system. Hehehe.
Rocketman, how much did you pay for that FEN tv antenna that was installed on your arm a while back? Just kidding.

@ Badong,
It's true, 'di ba? A lot of the veteran riders here who have been guilty of pushing the envelope too often have already been fitted with cybernetic parts. Hehehehe.

My satellite/hospital bill, was paid by SSS and my Insurace, worth (secret)
told the orthopedic surgeon "sumabit ko sa jeep" hang by the jeepney's rear end rush hour, "napatukod"
release funds right away.....
why Do you think they will cover it, if I say "Nagparampa ko ng mtbike" (drop the mtbike) hehehehe
My insurrance signed it with this clause they will not pay if it is suicide, and motorcycle accident related)
thats why I have no motorbike/scooter,

@ Rocketman,
Now that is an interesting analogy.
Riding a Dh bike is analogous to suicide?
What say you, Badong?

hehehehe how many channels? u hav pay-per-view? hihihihihi the good thing about DH is your dressed like a mountaineer, unlike wearing skimpy-fit cycling apparel which makes you obvious as a biker from 5kms away! LOL!.... They see you with flat shoes they mistake you for trasher! .....lol rocketman i get AM radio inside my head.... hehehe... never admit that your current injury was caused by 2 wheels or anything thats considered extreme sports, (just tell them: naapakan mo sabon kaya plakda ka tapos napilay ka..... or...... nadulas ka sa hagdan dahil naapakan mo yung pusa kaya ground floor ka agad pinulot at napilay ka.) **when you experience frequent lock jaws or slurring of speech, i think its time to go see a doctor... when you become half-man half-hardware there are terms such as 4-8-12 and unli(#of yrs replace metal components or it will kill you....) ..... ;D ;D

I often get this question: "Mahilig ka palang magbisikleta? Bakit maluwag ang shorts mo? dehins ba dapat ay hapit sa katawan iyan?" Hence, the masses must be educated about the different types of cyclists.

Oi, speaking of the devil, este, what component(s) have you damaged on your rig... me, I broke the chainstay of my Schwinn FS frame (its an aggressive XC frame though ;D). Used i for DJ... ramp was about 4ft lang but the starting point is on a fast downhill. Air height is at least more than double the ramp's height. Had overshoot on the tranny/landing almost everytime... the frame lasted for about 2 months from my abuse.
Then in an accident, had been hospitalized once (dislocated my right clavicle). At the ER, I told the nurses and doctors that the accident was during our seeding run on the 2nd Series on the QuickFlight DH classic in Cebu. They reflected it on the admission report but still, the SSS and my insurance payed the hospital bill ;D.

Define: mayabang sa pyesa and ayaw magasgasan.........hmmmmmm
Collector : An individual who collects hi-end DH bikes but never uses them on the tral its commonly seen mounted on Mega-SUVs , normally used for circling around mall parking lots or baywalk.
Poser: An individual who actually owns a hi-end DH bike and just makes pa-cute in full DH gear but never actually used the bike for its intended set-up or purpose.
LOLER BALLER!!!!...........
Like an old friend of mine said: "Brad ang kinis nyan ah, ginagamit mo ba tlga yan?" LOL!

@ Knobbyist,
Oh, you'd be surprised when you meet them really. Hehehe. Kind of reminds me of peacocks strutting. Compensating for a few *ehem* shortcomings, perhaps? Heeheh. That is why I was 'inspired' to write the extremely incendiary Peter Piper thingy in the first place.
But then again, this is a free country (to a certain extent) where we are allowed to express ourselves in whatever manner possible. Que sera sera. Hehe.
