Well since you added the magic word "price" ...I'd say GZ then Kamikaze have the upperhand I give GZ a small edge coz their XC /Trail shorts are a bit more comfy than Kamikaze which are more AM oriented. Both are tough as hell though! talk about value

I agree. There are plenty of other brands out there that are worth checking out... but most of the time, the price is enough to entice a person to sell one of her/his kidneys.

nothing beats LEVIS 501 and 505 yung PASONG TAMO! on TAGAYTAY and SAN MATEO TRAILS, and streets of MANILA.
I match it with my "SALE" OAKLEY shoes: shovel, radar, go-kart, low cut assault, switchback.........etc.
LEVI's and OAkley (yung sale lang ha) for me.

lately i tried the Groundzero DH2 shorts... i got a 34 medium( dapat 36 large! busog lang ako nun!)..... it fits like a glove not too much movement its kinda stiff but its due to the armor pads inside, and its breathable too ive tried it on pools, rivers, beaches and if it floods in san antonio village hahahaha!.... crashed with it, went rolling sky soil sky soil sky now i soiled myself situations, fed it to my tires with my groin and thighs... i still use it cuz its indestrucible! hahahahahaha.......
ive also had my share of collateral damage on dh apparels.... hehehe
when you leave the starting line, nothing is solid until you've actually broken one..... Go GZ! hahahahaha.......

@ Bender,
Kalawang DH? Hehehe. What about those so-called "dh-frames" that are made in China that are probably manufactured from recycled iron filings? Bakalite Racing?
And I must agree with those who say that the Groundzero shorts are nigh-indestructible... My cats weren't able to rip it apart when they managed to swipe it from the clothesline some time ago.
Translation: oy, dehins amoy-daga ang shorts ko. Hehehe.

@ Badong,
Ahh... I see. At least you're not called the "Petsay Princess."
Oh, and speaking of apparel... There are a few pairs of Troy Lee mtb shorts at Cycle Options that go for a reduced price of P 2,700, I think.
Ouch... still expensive eh? Groundzero pa rin.... Hehhehee.

i guess the 2 brands.. groundzero and kamikaze are the best mtb shorts here sa pinas.. but plus 5 star for groundzero for style.. some are baduy but many are d@mn good!!!! especially the bentspoke camo shorts... astig!!!
both jojo and badge are good friends..... and they rock the pinoy mtb!!!

sweet nyo noh! i remember arjuna, lester, louie acedera and edmund mangaser.... when we were as sweet as you guys... di ba?
we use to throw each other off the cliffs of tagaytay, we sideswipe and kick each other while overtaking, placing mineral oil on each others rotors, running over each other with nokian tires(specifically neck and back tire tracks), suntukan pag nalalasing, sleeping side by side without the turbo action!......sigh!......
.... i miss the rough stuff tho cuz everyone got older, we all have responsibilities na, families to attend to, biznesses to run, not enough time to spare .... our generation re-defined brotherhood..........
walang mayaman walang mahirap walang maarte walang mataas walang mababa walang matanda walang bata walang susuko........ matuto ka kumain sa dyaryo!
the only thing we had in coomon were our goals...... ride and push the boundaries!
doesnt matter if you wear GZ or Kamikaze... just buy filipino!support your friends and countrymen! f**k fox, tld, azonic and the other apparel brands!
but then again mas masarap mag suot ng sponsor! cuz libre! hahahahahahahahahahhaa

i second that! Wear Filipino! pero pag may sponsor kang stateside apparels,,, wear it din!! then suot mo ulit yung items pagkatapos...
btw, konti lang nmn may sponsor na international dito eh... so better help the local industry and it's way cheaper pa!
Fox, TLD, REDBULL, Lipovitan, Gatorade, etc. doesn't sponsor nmn most of our riders.. kung meron man it's not really the brands but the local dealers here in pinas... know and observe the industry to understand ok!
