guys and girls!....we are getting there!...finalizing the nitty gritty of the race...have the official entry form for the race but don't know how to attach it to the forum....
Just to update...track/trail is about 3kms....it will be finished hopefully by this Thursday Nov29....from what I hear from Ricky M...the track is beautiful!!! ...a little bit of everything!
There will be cash prizes for the Champion and the Runner Up per division....
Response from sponsors/partners/supporters/friends have been VERY positive and things are turning out rosy for the event! We will have some raffle items from stickers, lubes, shirts, grips, shades, etc...etc...
Looking forward to seeing people who share the same passion and love for OUR sport...and to celebrating the camraderie that is prevalent in our cycling community especially during this holiday season!
Ingat guys! If you need some more info just call Sabak...Thanks!
EcoRescue/Firefly Brigade The fireflies have fled the city because they couldn't stand its dirty air. All of us cyclists, pedestrians, commuters, even those who ride cars who live, work and raise families in the city may suffer the same fate. We also risk disappearing like the fireflies." Why resign ourselves to this fate? We have a choice. We can fight for clean air and bring the fireflies back.
36 laps is pretty heavy for most solo riders who are out just to finish. in the past 2 24hr races the minimum solo requirement was the same as the minimum per team rider. you guys might want to consider adjusting that.
These 12Hr (or 24Hr) races are more endurance races rather than sprints. And they just keep on stretching it even longer. Wow...
What are the odds of riders like us (almost/Senior citizens) finishing the required distance without having our family and friends wait for us and finishing their dinners... twice?
3Kms is almost like the loop I do in MOA by the seaside. On a given Sunday, I do 4 loops aggressively, take a rest have my McDo breakfast, then do an additional 2 more (or 3) loops leisurely. Total time = 3 hrs (from 6 to 9am)
Multiplied by 4 to make 12hrs, I would make a total of 28 loops, mathematically speaking. That means I eat breakfast 4 times and still not make the 36!
Oh well... Should have taken the sport when I was younger... :-[
Good luck to everybody! Join now! It doesn't get any easier next time!
It is true that one may become rich through practicing evil, but the power of Truth and Justice is that they endure... and that a man can say of them, "They are a heritage from my father." - from the book DUNE

"The best moments in our lives are not the passive, receptive, relaxing times. The best moments usually occur when a persons body or mind is stretched to its limits in a voluntary effort to accomplish something difficult and worthwhile. Such experiences are not necessarily pleasant at the time they occur, yet these could have been the best moments of our lives" - Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi
judging from the pics taken by qtkat its relatively flat and no technical portions...has someone already taken his average lap time on the course?
Those pics are deceiving Tolits. ;D More surprises await the racers. We failed to take pictures of the technical portions and the uphills. But then with your strength and skills, it will just be a walk in the park.

Aug 10, 2019 22:17:32 GMT 8

Mga March yun last year, mahangin talaga around that time last year.
Aug 24, 2019 8:50:45 GMT 8
First time ko naka-experience nun.
Aug 24, 2019 8:56:30 GMT 8
anthrax76: hmm...never pa naman umangat yung harap na gulong ko. i get pushed downwind pero never pa umangat.

Aug 27, 2019 15:06:23 GMT 8
stealthwanderer: Hello! Meron bang pumapasok around Greenhills? If so, saan kayo nagpapark ng bike?
Aug 27, 2019 17:54:27 GMT 8
anthrax76: @cf!!! uy kumusta na?
Aug 28, 2019 0:01:25 GMT 8
anthrax76: stealthwanderer, dati may parking ang bikes dun from firefly brigade, sa parking sa harap. pero ginawa na yata yun so dehins ko alam kung saan nalipat. try ko magtanong minsan kapag napasyal ako.
Aug 28, 2019 0:02:48 GMT 8
