Got this from another forum:
"They've mapped out a course which totals 35 km. It's organized like a real rallye race in that, there are Timed Stages for teams of three. The start of the race is a staggered start where each team is spaced by 2 minutes. Each team is given a Map with a series of assignments and questions that must be answered. Each member of the team must complete the stage before time stops for that stage and the team can move to the next.
With the completion of each assignment, you get a certain amount of time subtracted from your total time. With the submission of a wrong answer, you receive an addition to your total time. For every femal team member the team receives an automatic subtraction of a certain amount from their total time..."
Is this true, sir?

Spot on! I think they're patterning it after the Sampaguita Rally or the the Adventure race we see on TV.
Eitherway, those guys at Sabak really know how to stage these events. I'm sure it'll be a blast!
Hope you guys can join up. I don't think there are any PinoyMTBiker teams registered yet to date, I may be wrong. But It would be nice to see the same teams that joined the 24 hr race in La Mesa.

There are only 15 teams alloted for the race... 3 slots left as of 7pm yesterday - I was there then at Sabak, Sta. Rosa doing a night ride. ;D

Many regular adventure racers will join this one ...tough competitors all of them
rode with one A-Racer at La Mesa...after a loop we ll stopped to rest at the trailhead...he goes to one of the riders , borrows his Rudy Project shades and proceeded to run 1 loop (on foot mind you) while us humans rested.
sorry for the OT, folks

Sabak sports will be holding another XC Race/ Rally in the latter part of the year. The fisrt one was just a sampler. This time it'll be LONGER HARDER and more CHALLENGING not just physically but mentally as well. watch out for it!
