went to the dh course kanina.....it s a freakin dirtjump park there ! met Team Haooh Joel, Bads, Jon, etc Bans Mendoza was there Used my enduro bike w/ Vanilla R 5" fork... The beginner's route is pretty simple (pedal hard pedal hard) except for the tricky drop + sharp turn at the talahib area The Novice route is pretty scary for a noob like me...4-5 jumps I think Spilled and cut myself on the ledge stepup prior to the wide berm...left foot slipped and I ended up being pulled by the bike upon landing..pangit ..then again I really didnt know how to jump yet...I followed the novices and paid for it Heck that s how you learn , right? Dunno if I can race still with my injury (left leg scraped and both palms still very sore) Careful out there k , folks !

regarding the XC races (from urge):
As Boyet Camba dicuss to me this evening, for XC - is around 2km to 3km distance (each lap i guess. sana mas exact yung distance na binigay kasi a difference of 1km is 3, 6 8 or 10-12 km longer race! from what i remeber from the course, ssuming it's the same one from the last smb race, it's a little over 2 km) for Non-Pro- 3laps,6laps,8laps - For Pro-10 to 12 laps for DH - 680meters from point a to b, UCI standard is 500meters you can check out the course, Feb. 23, its better you come 3pm >King Bernas wrote: > >tanong lang: > >1) what are the distances for the xc races? >2) when will the course be marked? > >salamat!

it's a little tight. i hope they don't run out of time for the downhill.
by the way, the race order is
women's/youth (women/17 below) junior (18-30) senior (31-40) masters (41-above) pro/expert
i'm a little confused about the age grouping and categories themselves. 18-30 for junior? are these the official phil cycling age groups? they should also be running the same distance. why 8 laps for masters and 6 for senior & juniors? shouldnt they be following UCI? the grouping also doesnt allow for the skill levels for women. does that mean the beginners will be racing alongside marites bitbit?

I would like to ask the exact location where the XC and DH races would be held...
Will the XC race be held the same venue as the last SMB? How about the DH venue?
Thanks.
