I wanted to run and do duathlons. In fact, about a month ago, I started running in UP. However, I don't think my weak knees can take the impact. I figured I'd rather get a knee injury from biking than running. Running for me is too detrimental if I get swollen knees because I'd be forced to stop biking (even if it's for a short while). Hell, I love biking so much that if I were put in one of Dante's circles doing nothing but biking, I'd consider it Paradise! Perhaps when I lose more weight, I can try running again.

actually, is injury from running inevitable? Di naman Just take it easy cyclist can be prone to injury because they have great cardio but their body/legs/knees etc are not yet conditioned for running Too much too soon Run on sand look if your foot prints are straight , heel strike, toes push off and yu can see whats wrong w/ your form I dont think weight is a big issue based on the no. of fat guys who overtook me sa races hehe I'm injured because I'm big, flat footed and an overpronator, and like all running addicts, I kept running kahit may injury Running sucks

lychee: yey! i hope JENMAI can join us sis thanks, LENARD! that's what i noticed nga, there's no lung burn, but it hurts like h*ll. tsaka with biking kasi you can recover without getting off the saddle, but with running there's no reprieve. is there such a thing as crosscountry running techniques as opposed to running on paved cement? i like the feeling of getting into the rhythm of the run, sort of just crusing along and not thinking about anything but listening to your beathing, but when i feel i have to watch my steps around uneven surfaces, medyo nao-off balance ako. i dread tripping and falling, as with biking takot ako sa semplang ;D and what's an overpronator?

trail running requires more attention because there are more things that can trip you up or twist your ankle. try running on grass though. try the track oval in the ateneo high school. or around the football fields near moro lorenzo, or the college. generally asphalt is easier on the ankles and knees too. lychee: yey! i hope JENMAI can join us sis thanks, LENARD! that's what i noticed nga, there's no lung burn, but it hurts like h*ll. tsaka with biking kasi you can recover without getting off the saddle, but with running there's no reprieve. is there such a thing as crosscountry running techniques as opposed to running on paved cement? i like the feeling of getting into the rhythm of the run, sort of just crusing along and not thinking about anything but listening to your beathing, but when i feel i have to watch my steps around uneven surfaces, medyo nao-off balance ako. i dread tripping and falling, as with biking takot ako sa semplang ;D and what's an overpronator?

I feel much better now and getting use to it already but when pain strikes nakakalimutan ko pati proper breathing.. i want to quit pero dyahe kay teacher kaya go pa rin.. hehe Will run later again (addict na talaga) sa FORT with Millan. No trail running for me , I've twisted my ankle bad once , it was not pleasant Overpronate , when you foot rolls inward pagtama sa pavement It happens when your flat footed or if you run w/ your foot turned outward kahit slightly lang
