I've done it for 3 years , buhay pa naman ako I've taken a long run or bike then direcho swimming sa pool , ok naman
However, this really seems to tick a few people off They tell you- hantayin mo pag tanda mo, jan mo mararamdaman All I have to say is - when I'm old and gray , how the @#$$ would I know taking a bath after exerc ise is causing my hands to shake.
Pero para safe , magpahinga ka na nga lang muna hehe

well, i only take a bath a day or two after. hehehe!
lots pipol do that...not just in the sport of cycling...most peeps leave the gym already smelling fresh...i recalled my grandfather was very much against it...hey just the same he died at the age of i think 57...i believe in other countries this pasma thing is not that popular...correct me if i'm wrong pero wala nga yatang ingles nyan yet they have heathier people and longer life expectancy.
but you know what somehow niwala ako dun sa not letting part of your body to get soaked or get cold after mapagod...buti pa iligo mo na buong katawan...and avoiding the draft.

after arriving home from a long ride, i would usually rest for a while and let the heat just escape my body tapos take a quick shower using tap water just to take out the dirt and perspiration from the body. after a while a quick nap to rest the aching body....hehehe.
had been doing that all the time at wala naman akong problema. wala nang papasmahin saken, i am already 51 eh.

I take a rest for about 30 to 45 minutes before I take a bath after biking, except when I got wet due to rain that's what my uncle sed to me "nabasa ka na rin lang sa ulan, iligo mo na"
I don't feel anything bad at all.

yes, by all means... i do it often because i always arrive late for an appointment with my wife whenever i ride... so after throwing the bike to storage... straight to the bath and have a quick cold shower to cool down...
but sometimes, i take a bath together with my bike... hehehe

This is similar when you are having a fever our parents try to put more blanket on you so you feel better. BUT is a no..no idea. Suppost to be the other way around ;D. I thought Pasma in English is Pasm ;D ;D ;D.

yup, I agree with qt and jr. show me scientific proof that bathing has any relationship with illnesses. it's germs and viruses that make us ill. not bathing or washing your hands and face after a ride has more potential to pass germs/viruses from our hands into our bodies. if you do get a cold, then it's not from the bath. most likely from coming in contact with someone who was already sick. any muscle aches and pains may be eased with water. don't many pro atheles use water therapy? both hot and cold. i never understood some of these myths. my mother told me she wasn't allowed to bathe for several days after giving birth. i guess if the water was contaminated, then she would be at risk for infections. other than that I have no explanation.

i take a bath right away after biking but i only do it less than 5mins coz i just have to take the sweat and dirt away with running cold water (not warm or hot) then after that i rest for an hour or two then take a bath again.....now with soap and everything.
Reason for doin this: if you take a bath when you're exhausted and tired muscle tendency is you're abusing your body when the muscle is tryin to recover from exhaustion....
Why: i dunno, maybe bcoz my lolo told me this before when i was hook up in body building.

body heat which is a little bit high after an intense workout and the water is cold. mixing hot and cold might produce some whatever effect which our body may somewhat be affected or not. i'm just thinking how lightning is formed, and how a tornado/twisted forms... just a thought.

In my experience sa running then direcho swim sa pool , the shock of the cold water makes your muscles freeze up. Di maipajak Pero , it loosens din after awhile Di mawala knee injuries ko , maybe thats a cause hehe palusot

Many, many, many years ago before computers were available in the Phils, i was already into Graphic Arts. I would draw for hours and wash my hands before eating or sleeping. As a result of constantly introducing cold water into my tired hands was the blood vessels (ugat) in my forearms became visible and floated on my skin. I looked like a ripped bodybuilder during competition, except that I was very skinny. So you'd see all skin and bones and blood vessels... and some muscles in between. ;D Very scary... I later in life, found out that by resting my hands before getting them wet, then blood vessels became less visible in my forearms. That means I don't look like Frankenstein anymore. ... ok... maybe just his kid brother...
