hehehe... how do you resize those oversized tummies? the mods dosent like oversized things to be posted here e. hehehe... maybe they don't like big tummies too.
i do 100 crunches a day. but i don't think something is happening, or am i doing it the wrong way? I've read that reducing tummies also needs diet other than crunches. Since no diet, then too many crunches, your fat and muscles will overlap then it would produce bigger tummy. hehehe
what then is the recommended diet and how do you do the correct crunches?

You cannot "spot reduce." This means, you cannot choose where fat will go away on your body, especially your belly, even if you do 1000 crunches a day. Fat is never converted to muscle. You have to metabolize fat in order to burn it and eventually lose it (unless you go for a liposuction). This is accomplished thru a combination of a proper diet and exercise, particularly long duration, endurance types of exercise. The longer the exercise, the more fat you burn because at about the 30 minute mark, your body switches to fat as the major fuel source instead of carbohydrates.
And the abdominal muscles are a flat and thin type of muscle so doing crunches won't make your abdomen bulge because it is extremely difficult to hypertrophy these muscles.

riding/running or swimming before breakfast , and minimizing carbs especially rice and bread , todo veggies and water Nutritionist would shake their heads ad say masama yan but , bilis nya umubos ng taba
Pero if you regularly train , the diet leaves yu weak

Janix, if you're doing 100 crunches a day, you already have developed your ab muscles. It's just that you have this line of fat around the area. It's not really that hard to get rid of it, to be honest. Ease up on the carbs and 30 mins worth of cardio (ie cycling, running, swimming) even just twice a week. This, together with your weekend MTB adventure & your crunches will have you lose the flab quite easily.

I never seen this post.. 15 years ago (gees thats long ago ;D) my 31 inch tummy suddenly stop growing (thanks to MTB) and exercises . I eat everything but with discipline maybe sometimes over doing it. The rule of 1500 calorie a day is a lot. I do crunches 3 times a week with 3 sets of 20. Make sure you do it right, if you dont do it right even you do 1000 is not going to work. If is right, you will feel the spasm around your stomach. Also eating habit, exercises probably only help 30 percent. Avoid to much carbo. if you dont burn it. This will turn to sugar and fat specially rice. Im using this 3 way of crunches. Do it slowly and good luck . - Traditional crunches (google it), laydown and bent your knee then let your upper body do the work. Try to look something above the ceiling and concentrate looking at the that while doing crunches. Make sure to blow all the air out while doing the crunches. This will also help the muscle contract more.
- Laydown straight and lift your feet (together) slowly around around 45 degree and then drop it and hold before hitting the floor.
- (Advance) Hang straight and lift your feet (like L shape, 0 degree) and avoid swinging. You can do this also on your love handles by pulling your legs together on the sides. Let hip doing the work. This is hard but fun. You can do this everywhere as soon as you fine something to hang with.

question janix: how long have you been doin crunches?
100 crunches is nothing if you dont do food diet. another tip would be leg raise if crunches is not working for you.

sarap-sarap kumain e! hehehe. if you don't want to feel the crunch of the diet, first check the quality of what you're eating. you know the cliche stuff you have to avoid.

here's a not so good suggestion: RIPPED FUEL sold in tablet form, in bottles, available @ food supplement stores... contains the dreaded 'ephedrine'.... it's like a 'turbo' in workouts.... but be prepared to intake more liquids to prevent overheating... but after the workout you will feel like you're a drained battery... it's purpose is to squeeze out fat & unwanted liquid in your body... take caution when takin' this... not recommended for with heart-ailments or hypertension...

Ripped Fuel, Hydroxycut, Xenadrine.. yeah yeah.. they're all the same.. i used to take these together with my Protein Supplements when i was a gymrat. hehe. when i started biking, this prevented me in continuing " do not use during strenous activity in high temperature conditions.."
