if you've read the first topic above... this should help cheer you up... i hope okay okay now the good news is most of the damage could be contained if you do several very basic things a) when passing through terrain that has a tendency to leave your teeth chattering... please get up... your precious suspensions could take the shock.. your balls (contrary to popular belief) are not made of stone b) many mountain bikers prefer to use the hard edge seats with cushions approximately 1 to 2 cm thick.... try using the seats with anatomic designs... the ones with the holes in the middle... it protects some of the major blood vessels that keep your swimmers in shape. c)preventing the incidence of "luslos" using supporters is well and good... but keep in mind that the reason your balls is outside the body is to keep it away from the body because your body temperature will cook the da*n things, so try to loosen it up or let the sac hang free every few hours... (especially for the extremists who do the marathon trails in the heat). of course we haven't fully tested this yet... but why take the chance? any additional tips would be most welcome!!!! ;D

good topic mad doc... applying generous amounts of vaseline in your crotch area and between your legs, helps keep things from getting pinched (same principle when applying talcum powder on your inner tubes and the inner walls of your tires)

Thank god.. I've been riding for a decade but so far is excellent. I tested and still work my proof is my 4 months old daugther. The last test was nine year ago. ;D ;D ;D. How about China??..they have billions of people and mostly use bikes. brad, one of my colleagues is China-based and rides a bike a lot...till he had to have an operation done on his prostate...blamed his saddle and his biking time. when he came over, he had me buy about 3 male-friendly saddles so he could get back on his bike again after recovering from the operation ;D

If my observation is right, seems majority affected by this are roadies since they're the one who spends a lot of time in the saddle compared to MTB riders.

where can you buy saddles like these? I used a zerfas gel seat for my GTS bike (badtrip it was stolen in our house by those addicts in krus na ligas) and now i'm using an MOB seat. I still can't find an exact dulpicate of that zerfas gel seat and i don't like the narrow seats that are sold in newton.
Its hard to find a good seat if you're 260 lbs

Also may I add, besides the saddle. Going downhill on a very rough terrain, I believe, a full suspension help in some way. Cause both shock absorbs the bounce first before the body gets it.

Its hard to find a good seat if you're 260 lbs i weigh a hefty 190 lbs myself, i found a saddle from BIKE PLANET called their ARS (anatomical relief series) its really soft almost like the gel seats and it only costs 550 bucks... they got someother designs with the same concept but its the one that i like coz of the color and the construction. the shop is the one right after kings in quiapo by the way. maybe you can check it out also and gimme an opinion?

downside nga lang is ang pangit tingnan.
Pero HANEP!

ok bout the china issue impotency starts to hit the riders who have been happily pumping away on their seats for about 4 or 5 years ergo it takes kindof a while to affect your fertility factor. the average chinese couple there is aged about 20 to 26. the age that they are allowed to get bicycles of their own is 18, that gives them just about enough time to produce their own little chinky eyed kids before impotence sets in. besides... have you seen the seats they use on their "people bikes" its the type that any respectable mountainbiker would not get caught dead in!!! as in huge saddles that look like stools but they do have their own version of birthcontrol (one child per couple policy) with an even more ruthless implementation. so they probably are even encouraging their people to become impotent

Apply vaseline on your crouch area and a good cycling short(good pads).Protection is not on sadle but on your CYCLING shorts and tilt your sadle forward around 5 to 10 deg.Good Luck!

I dont think this problem is common on mtbers since we dont sit on the sadle like road cylist do.You can prevent this problem by tilting your sit forward and investing/buying a good cycling short(good padding).Road or Mtb, always use a good cyling short.(its not on the sadle ,its the short!

i believe that they do spend a lot more time in the saddle... but as i think we just proved awhile ago.... ;D xc and DH bikers on the other hand get bounced around a lot more, hard to keep standing up all the way down an hours worth of tagaytay trail.... okay maybe half an hour? so i think our quality makes up for the quantity...

Being able to become comfortable underneath while riding is the real deal!
it is important to take care of those sacks, why? 'coz it hurts a lot really lalo n kapag nadale ka!! a lot of riders already experience it in a minimum of twice (2x)! << totoo po ito! pls. pass... heheheh...
using those special saddle do HELP a Lot! because they where created because of the need and it was scientifically studied to help you feel more comfy and help you avoid problems in the far future..... bakit far? matagal mo pa mararamdaman... dehins bukas!
in DH this issue is very important to be undertood due to the fact that we do a lot of egg-breaking activities which can give you an immediate problem! Compared to Riding on the ROAD (road bikes, XC long ride, etc. an the likes...) effects can be felt after very long hours or years of riding unlike in DH, DJ, extreme XC / AM,.... it can be felt for the shortest possible time / period.... due to the rugh terrain and abuse the body of absorbed...
Though our body do adopt to certain conditions and shuts down some of our wonderful functions, It is also important to have knowledge on such things and also training your body to improve your skills to be able to adopt to the type of Riding style and also SKILLS to be able to avoid such accidents and conditions....
