Hi empoy,
I received your email today, thanks for it, but i rather answer it here so everyone can also open up their suggestion and extend help regarding this matter.
As i look it closely, its beyond unrepairable.... sad to say this welded section has weaken the materials around it.
If ever you want it weld (tigweld) the crack it will not do any good cause it will again surface (crack) around or welded side.
Too much heat and left untreated weaken the aluminum. Not like cromoly frame it can easily fix using brazing weld.
A major restoration is one option like to reduce or cut all joint section and then weld to size but it seems very expensive in progress.
We still need a heat treated system after welding aluminum. and its hard to find it here in our local fabrication shop.
We had a good frame builder like "ave" of Cainta but he's on cromoly not aluminum user.
btw where's the other side of the seat clamp?

the welds are too big for cro-mo, but the tubes do look thin for an aluminum road frame

it looks like an old frame, and aluminum does have a shelf life of 5-10 yrs (daw)

I Already met Ave. His very popular around bike shops in town, most of the bike mechanics here know him. About the frame he said Alum and Carbon frames are disposable (awts sayang!). Also he qouted me P7.5k for a tailor cut cro moly frame. I guess I have to save some moolah from the beer funds:) . Thanks pinoyMTB
