You cannot do ratratan going up to Sierra Madre, it's all uphill! Unless of course, your handle is tolits. We park our vehicles somewhere along Marcos hiway near Mang Vic's Bulalohan. You could actually stay at Sierra Madre Hotel, that's where we normally end our ride before backtracking and going back to the vehicles.

michelle, raul, next time try parking at wrigleys, just before the climb to cabading. that extra climb up and back from boso boso will make you guys just that much stronger by the way, according to the old timer roadies (not me!) the traditional sierra madre route was marikina, antipolo via sumulong, and then down olalia to cogeo (past the intersection with the market) before cabading, etc. nowadays you can also throw in blue mountain on the way back! something to aim for in the future, eh?

Yeah, definitely something to aim for Especially when the other guys (driver, aman, etc) join the ride. I'm sure bitin sila with the Mang Vic's - SM Hotel - Mang Vic's. BTW, if it's the traditional Sierra Madre route, how long does it normally take?

depends who's riding i guess. the strong ones can do up-sierra-up in around 4hrs. a friend of mine went up with taro and kaye once and we only stopped at mang vics for water, then at sm. they went ahead but my friend and i finished in less then 5hrs at an easy, (aka. very slow) pace. passing through antipolo doesnt really add that much more time because there's a lot of traffic on the road from masinag to cogeo. maybe 15-30mins more.

it's that white factory on the left side after white rock before the road curves right. some roadies park there sometimes to avoid biking through the traffic in cogeo.

Lenard,
Its a 4-5 hour bike ride. 3 hours going up, and 1 hour going down.
And when we reach the bottom, Mang Vic's bulalo will be waiting for us!
