Since a few of our PinoyMTBiker buddies are assembling a road bike, I'd like to recommend a component on my bike I love - my seat It's a Selle Italia Turbomatic It doesnt have a trace of foam or cushion I think pero sobrang comfortable. It's the only seat I've used na walang sakit sa fuwet even on century rides. Ganda ng reviews And it's the seat na ginagamit ni Jan ulrich sa tour de france Before you say ,"so what?!" I was looking at the reciepts today, nalaman ko that selle costs only 1,500bucks!! I dont think Ulrich, who could get any seat he wanted would put his a$$ on a $30 seat if he didnt love it Your gonna spend a lot of time on a roadbike seat , so worth it na yan

Hey Allegra, how long ago did you purchase your selle italia turbomatic for P1,500? Mat was scouting around for saddles the other day and the least expensive selle italia saddle he could find went for P3,500!

November last year when I had my bike built I'm sure of the price kasi I asked twice kasi akala ko fake

Hi Could anyone recommend a reasonably priced road setup for a newbie? I have a really (REALLY) old racer and would like to upgrade or get a new one alltogether. More important is the price. Have been looking thru the forum here but the roadies are waaay over my budget. Kaya was wondering what the ' basic ' setup will cost. Thanks for the advise.

If I were to choose a crankset for a road bike, what would the gears be? Right now my old roadie has a Shimano 600 Gold series set and the front gears are 52 and 45. It was too much for me last Sat on Sierra Madre. Had to switch to an mtb with smaller granny gears. But that ride just had too many uphills! thanks again for the replies.
