What model sir? Hmmm meron akong kilala na naka xm490 I think. Problem is minodify nya kaagad yung springs, ayun putol lahat. Pero okay naman daw sya, good for trail and small drops.

Gaano ka-small yung small drops nya? Curious lang. Might get these din kasi for xc and am trails. May conversion kit ba ito?

There are 2 models of Koozer hubs available locally. the xm490 (6 pawls/72 PoE) and the newer version xm470 (rachet type). you can search in youtube the sound quality of this hubs. i will be getting the xm470 next week hehe.

wow, 72 PoE? for around 5k? (tama ba price?) - better take caution if you're testing this thing, i have not yet tried this brand, if i were you i'd go with dabomb, though a little bit expensive, it is pretty much tried and tested

Ano difference nung dalawang models? I mean, ratchet and pawl system naman sila most likely.....so why label it ratchet type?

Mas iba yung tunog ng ratchet keysa sa pawls. and also can you educate me sa ratchet at pawls? hehe

While we're speaking of hubs, what 32h set would you recommend that has an available QR to TA conversion kit? Something for the budget conscious.

Why not go TA all the way? Save up and just go one time big time purchase, take the conversion kit (another point of failure) out of the picture. I'm not saying it will be a point of failure but remove complications from the setup.

Parang ang mahal kasi nung mga TA forks. Yung mga nakikita ko sa price range ko is 9mm QR.

Curious lang mga sir.. why change hubs ? For tibay or sound ? Are the basic or default hubs from shimano is not good ? You mean palit mismo ng hub or editing the hubs? Kadalasan ng mga nakakasabay ko sa mga LBS, mga naka shimano hubs, proven and tested na even enduro/race. Sounds? Yung iba gusto mas lakasan pa, yung iba naman sadyang malakas na tunog.

Hope is somewhere between 10 - 20K price range.
here's how i see the issue, you'd want the better gear pero wala pang budget, so you'll take the little by little component change. in my point of view, meron sa economics na law eh, forgot the name pero heto ang sample:
bibili ka ng camera, naturally bibili ka ng battery and film...okay so these days eh memory cards.
eh may pambili ka ng camera eh yung ang kayang basahin eh 4GB na memory card. eh gusto mo 1TB yung kayang basahin na memory card. pero yung mga gumagawa ng 1 TB na memory card, ang assumption eh kaya mong bumili ng camera na bumabasa ng ganun kalaking memory, kaso with the technology, mamahaling camera lang ang pwedeng bumasa nun.
hence ang kukuhanin mong approach is to get adaptors para mangyari yun. going back to my sample, pag-ipunan mo na lang na one time big time. eh kung in the end dehins mo rin pala ma-afford yung fork na TA?

We're on the same boat actually. Gusto ko mag 27.5, gusto ko mag tapered setup, gusto ko mag 2x drivetrains, gusto ko mag dropper seat post.
Pero dahil kapos, dehins ako nagmadali. Ipon ipon lang while using my current setup, maayos pa naman eh.
Now I got an offer from a friend with all the things I want at a price I can't say no to. I can afford with without the additional cost of "getting ready for the setup I eventually want".
Besides, I've borrowed a 20mm TA and 15mm TA setups before. As a weekend warrior, I can't even tell the stiffness difference vs. a 9mm qr.

Not until you ride black diamond rated trails, using qr is scary especially if the trails have lots of section were your tyres is required to leave the ground. Tru-axle gives you peace of mind.😁😁

so depende na lang talaga sa riding style at terrain where you frequently ride. like what anthrax said for us weekend warriors a QR should be enough.

He he he, dehins pa ako nag fast paced techy trails to warrant a TA. But yeah, getting airborne, which I do on urban assault warrants the security of a TA.

the only issue i have with the old hope pro 2 evo hubs is that there is a wear in the freehub body, the cogs tend to leave a mark imma get a steel one

Thing is, when you level up mahirap naman na kelangan mag upgrade pa. It's nice to have it future-proofed. Thing is, mapapalayo ako ng mapapalayo sa future. hahaha
