Bago ko sagutin (probably a few more posts later).
how to check kung ano ang bang for the buck, in this case walang bearing ang frame dahil parehong entry level. assuming parehong may tamang size para sa 'yo.
next to look for is the drivetrain, ano ang components? non-series ba? kung groupset, saan siya sa heirarchy, whether shimano, sram, campagnolo or other drivetrains, meron sa website nila nyan.
kung equal, take a look at your wheelset and cockpit, which gives a better offer.

Mahirap pag quick answer. Last year ganyan din ako. Pag minadali mo magsisisi ka lang kapag nalaman mong dehins mo sya trip/may kailangan kang palitan/may gusto kang part na dehins compatible. Mapapagastos ka ng sobra to make it better for you, baka mapa-buy and sell ka pa just to get rid of unwanted components. Yung sa 9speed vs 8speed wala ring nakalagay sa post mo na info regarding teeth count, same with the crankset. Better kung aaralin mo kasi super worth it when you get one. I'm still in the process of looking for bikes to assemble. Get a bike fit.

ah cge thank you much sa mga info ang plano ko kasi bili lng muna ako ng starter bike tapos sali sa mga group ng bikers tapos pag naeenjoy ko na ng todo ibebenta ko n lng sya ng buo tapos bibili ako ng high end na bike pag naging hobby ko na tagala. by that time i assume marami na ko alam sa mga bike. thanks again

parang 'di ko makita yung specs ng Trinx. anyway, i'm trying to guide you to the answer, ganyan kami natuto nung early days ng dito sa PinoyMTBiker. ano yung mga dehins mo maintindihan na terms? oo at shimano ang mga nasa drivetrain, pero konting research sa website ng shimano, makikita mo yung heirarchy ng mga groupset. dehins dahil hydro, mas maganda na agad kesa mech. hanggang ngayon avid bb7 rocks vs entry to mid level hydros. 9 speed drivetrains give you one more gear vs. 8, the question is, gagamitin mo ba talaga yung largest cog na yun? although at this day and age eh medyo paubos na rin ang 8 speed components. if it was me? dehins ako bibili among the 3 brands, he he he. i'd support either Vision or MOB. P.S. dahil late ko nabasa yung reply Here's a tip, get the best your budget can afford. Splurge mo na, in this case, kasi balak mo rin naman palang ibenta. mas mahirap magbenta yung setup na mas maraming kailangan update to latest tech.

Parang di naman malaki ang difference nila in terms of specs.

1. get the Simplon (has better drivetrain) (AND HELMET!) 2. ride the bike and as you ride you'll get to know your bike and you (how you handle/ride your bike) 3. DO NOT REPLACE ANYTHING YET! (except maybe for the pedals but that's it) 4. ONLY replace parts that are broken 5. doing these, start by saving for the next bike (better build/components) 6. ALWAYS, HAVE FUN riding your bike

Is the Giant ATX really much better than the Foxter 301 or Simplon in terms of quality? I know brand is more known, but in terms of actuall quality, is it really much better? I'm a newbie so I would like to know. Thanks

cluelessboutbikes, let's put it this way, if the frame breaks, will you be able to get a warranty from Giant? Foxter? Simlon? it's not just the quality, but consider the aftermarket service.

Sorry sir anthrax but I really don't know the after service of any of those 3 brands since I've never bought a bike before. All I know is the is Giant is the largest of the three. Would the Giant ATX 2 2018 be a good starter bike if it fits my budget?

he he, Giant has an official distributor here, so warrant claims are easy compared to the other 2 brands.
Giant ATX is a good choice, it's a workhorse of a bike. Heavy but it serves the purpose.

Dont get me wrong, yes Foxter and simplon can do the job as well, but if i have the budget, ill go with a big name brand. You can upgrade the parts easily later on if you desire so.
