huwag ka gumamit ng replica as much as you can. kapag bumigay ang fork, sa hospital ang punta mo. buti pang mura at mabigat na branded kesa bibili ka ng replica. baka nga mamaya mumurahing fork yan na nilagya lang ng fox sticker.

Meron ako nito mismo, replica. Ok naman sya, ganda ng bounce. 1 month palang. Hehe

Bakit ba kelangan fake ang bilhin? may suntour na xcr o xcm naman na mas okay. may epicon din na 2nd hand that is almost the same price ng fake fox or rockshox forks.
imho, mag ipon para makabili ng orig or settle with cheap but high quality products kesa magpumilit, obvious naman na peke.
nakakafrustrate lalo na sa mga newbies.
sorry ha. harsh.
oo na, to each his own. walang basagan ng trip.
hayyyy...

Siguro not for them but for others, na parang bibilib sila kasi "branded" yung gamit mo. I'm not going to wash my hands on this one dahil I also patronize fake products. It's just that there's a certain gratification when something you buy is aesthetically pleasing for you, even when you know it's not the real thing.
Never underestimate the fact that it can break anytime, whether you're riding in an empty lot or on a busy road. Safety parin natin yung pinag uusapan dito.

Pwede naman generic na air shocks na me sariling brand wag lang knock off (fake). Pareho lang naman performance. Unfair kasi sa legit owners.

Basically you will get what you pay for. at kahit ano pa sabihin mo, buying fake parts is stealing. sorry pero kailangan natin maging responsible bike owners.

What's frustrating is that the newbies are totally out of whack. In the absence or with the decline of forums such as these and the other one (i am originally from that group and still recognize myself as one, no offense), new bikers are no longer properly educated let's say on the do's and don'ts for biking regardless if it's mountain or road.
Social media killed the forums and opened a new era that is somewhat beneficial (more bikers, online shops, cheaper parts, etc.), but this lets the new bikers do what they want to do without regard for others. For example, in the trails you can easily distinguish the newbies from the older ones, the newbies are those that don't move or won't even budge when the biker at the back wants to pass (biker left, right), yes, meron din naman oldies na kups sa trail but i think that the attitude of the older bikers are better than the new riders when it comes to trail etiquette. These bikers are the ones that support fake parts (well at least some of them) as well. These are the guys that feel they are the most downtrodden because they have knock-off frames/parts or cheap parts and will post on social media to get everybody's support. WTH.
Don't get me wrong, I was a newbie before as well, but there were forums that helped me understood the biking culture that is so different from now. Social media did that and i think without the proper forum to educate these riders group pages such as Pinoy MTB (in FB, yes I am referring to this page because newbies go to this page for reference/research) will continue to exist and gain following.
Ang haba. hahahahaha.

well, experience is the best teacher as the saying goes. the forum is here to help people learn stuff and gain opinion from other people. i just hope they won't cause any accident involving other riders safety first
