fullspeed - that's a sweet looking frame! You'll have a fun time riding it. Let us know how it rides when you build it. Have you had a chance to weigh it on a digital scale?
I did notice one thing on the rear triangle. I can't tell if the brake mounting hole has a metal insert. If there's no insert... be very careful not to overtorque the brake when mounting it. Most brakes will have washers that go between the frame and bolts, but even with washers you can overtorque carbon. Same applies to the mounting hole on the carbon fork.

fullspeed - I noticed one more thing... the BB and headtube probably has to be reamed and faced, make sure a good shop does that.
Also, I can't tell if the BB is threaded from the closeup. From the pics it doesn't appear to be. How hard was it to get that done?

Hi Bo! Thanks for the tips on the brake mountings! But I can't figure this out ... fullspeed - I noticed one more thing... the BB and headtube probably has to be reamed and faced, make sure a good shop does that. Also, I can't tell if the BB is threaded from the closeup. From the pics it doesn't appear to be. How hard was it to get that done? I was able to install the hollowtech2 crankset.. does that mean it's threaded? or Did I just damage the frame?

Marcial Since you've installed the crank, it must be threaded... I couldn't tell due to the resolution on the photo. BB are usually threaded at the factory. I see paint on the edges of the BB, so it hasn't been faced. I've only owned anodized or Ti frames, not powdercoated frames, so I never faced my frames and was hoping the two sides were already parallel. Your BB is probably fine without facing. Here's a pic of a BB being faced (if the left and right side of a BB are not parallel to each other, and to the threads, the bearings will be misaligned) Same applies to the headtube... the top and bottom should be parallel. The headtube should also be reamed so that there's no paint inside and the bearing cups fit without being too tight. The bearing cups could crack the headtube if the fit is too tight (rare, but it happens).

fullspeed,
how much did you pay for the frame? dami pa ba? ;D. itching to build my last (i hope) project bike.
guys,
XC707 is selling scorpio frames which is reasonably priced (P6.5k for with a carbon fork and carbon steerer tube). ok ba to? i'm not maselan when it comes to frames as long as it fits me right and its light. but of course, having more carbon instead of metal on the bike is really a big advantage. i'm also on the look out for kristel frames (the one with carbon seatstay, chainstays and toptube). i heard giant OCR frames are good but at P17.5K (includes a carbon fork), its beyond my reach. i'll be using shimano 105 10-speed on my next rig. any tips? TIA.
