That's the one I mentioned in the pump track thread. There is going to be an indoor and outdoor track. The outdoor track is being done Byron Santos (the guys behind animal trail). Kaya lang March pa daw opening.

I think the outdoor one is dirt. But it's really for bikes.

you can check out their fb page, 'the bike playground' and it looks like claudio and the team has done some testing and it looks sweet - can't wait to check things out tbh. i've been waiting for something to happen in ph tbh and here it is. i've been following their page since day 1.
iba ang feel ng PT kapag dirt iba rin kapag asphalt. mas controlled ang feel ng asphalt (ie ideal) assuming maintained at maganda ang lapat. sa dirt kasi bawat pasada ng rider, at bawat daan ng panahon nagiiba - it's subtle, but the change is there. so which one is better? neither - it's best to have both.

the pumptrack should be very good kasi gawa ng velosolutions, they have been constructing pumptracks all over the world. ang gusto ko nga sana magkaroon dito sa pinas is an indoor mtb training facility. yung tipong mag turo ng basic handling skills before sabak sa trails. para mas controlled ang environment.

anong bike handling skills exactly ang gusto mong matutunan? isip ko kasi, other than riding berms, you can pretty much practice in the urban jungle, kahit walang facility.

as for pumping (mtb related that is) the pinnacle (ie mastery) of cornering is being able to pump flat ground with proper form so yes urban setting should be ok... carpark comes to mind

@anthrax yung mga basic skills muna like bunny hop, track stand, manual. kasi pag sa trails lalo na naka cleats ako, dismount pag medyo alanganin na. sigurista kasi ako, naka unclip na kagad iwas semplang haha. pero yung nga dapat mag practice muna ako using flat pedals para madali lang mag bail out.

icemann77, kung makakapunta ka sa sharing sessions yan ang mga tinuturo ko. well except manual, talagang clutz ako sa wheelie at manual. at dahil sa UP Diliman yan nangyayari, you have to at least get the concept in your system kasi sabak agad sa Forbidden trail kung saan pwede mo agad apply yung concepts. Pero yun, siguro what you're looking for is a bike clinic more than an indoor facility. about clipless, dati clipless pedals na may cage ang gamit ko. i can still pretty much do stuff kahit dehins clipped in. dehins nga lang maganda ang foot placement kasi iniiwas ko yung cleats sa engagement mechanism. thing is, may mga tinuruan na ako na naka clipless pedals na walang cage. so.....it's not really an excuse, he he.

Was there since openning and I'd say the simple outdoor trail highlighted a lot of missing skills... berms! and that just summarizes it in one word. Definitely worth more visits and sessions. The guy in a gray ht 29er with in a blue met FF with 'a lot' of berm overshoots was me
