may mga thread tayo about it, pwede mo search. pero heto yung isa pinoymtbiker.proboards.com/thread/9941/standard-tubes-tubeless-conversionabout practicality, depende kung sinong kakausapin mo about it, heto yung mga alam kong facts. 1) yung weight ng inner tube eh mawawala, although it will be offset by the heavier UST tire and rim to a point na mas mabigat pa minsan ang tubeless. 2) Not all tires can be converted to tubeless, kung gusto mo talaga ng safe, get UST tires. 3) In relation to #2, may iban non-UST tires na pwedeng convert to tubeless, pero naman na nagre-react sa sealant, lumolobo (Kenda is notorious for this). 4) Sealants prevents air leakage from punctures, dehins kasama ang sidewall rip. 5) If you're not careful, pwedeng mag gum up ang sealant sa valve making it a little difficult to pump in air. 6) I know some guys who also carry an extra tube kahit naka tubeless setup, for those times na pwedeng mag fail yung system. 7) Oooooh, before I forget, you'll need an air compressor for the initial pump. Kailangan biglain yung pasok ng hangin, otherwise, mag leak lang yun and you'll never get the tire pumped. Yeah, if you have a shop near you na may air compressor, good for you dun mo na gawin yung procedure ng tubeless mounting.

Wait for the release of the Schwalbe aerothan tubes, 72g for 27.5, 76g for 29er, 68g for 26er, dehins sya puncture proof pero kung weight weenie ka e this is as light as going tubeless..... im running tubeless right now and its a pain in the ass whenever im changing tyres, its messy and i need a CO2 cartridge just to seat the beads (buy a topeak Joeblow booster floor pump). and I still carry a spare tube when going out for trail ride,..... like what Anthrax said sealant can gum up inside the valve then you'll have a hard time openning it. ... So yeah, im going back to tubes once this aerothan hits our shores.

i met a distro during the BikeDemoDay orientation, there's a sealant built for tubulars and it never dries up into a gooey mess.. Drop by the BikeDemoDay for the demo of their sealant.
Am also waiting for my sample for me to test it on my tubular setup.

a word of warning about stans rims... if you want versatility in tire choice, avoid this brand since they are using old school BST (bead socket tech). Go for UST rims like WTB, DT Swiss as you got more tire options. BST do not work with spez tires and WTB tires to name a few. I've had my not so good experience mounting and dismounting WTB vigilante to ZTR flow Ex rims - a pig to install and uninstall. I gave up and eventually sold the tires and replaced with maxxis.
