simplej0ys it's a carbonfiber frame by sava (china), on alivio drivetrain and non-series brakes. Yep, 9qr and non-boost, the original wheelset is an ordinary 27.5 x 23mm width rim, change it c/o PRGCycles with a 30mm internal width midfat wheelset with a novatec hubs, lost the 9qr adaptor on transit but was able to produce an adaptor to a local machine shop.

the tire isn't as balloony as other midfat due to the rims, perhaps a 50mm might give some more volume. it just a tad bigger than my 29x2.35, i'll try to take a pic.
For the tire clearance there's a 3/4 inch spacing each side.
Re the fork, my question. will a 29er fork fit midfat 650b+ setup?
post ko within the week.

29er users can/do convert to 650b+ as long as the fork, seatstay and chainstay will clear - some don't, while some can allow up to 2.8 wtb trailblazer with wtb scraper i45 rims.
there had been quite a number of conversions done online.

Here's the comparison of the midfat 2.8 and the 29erx2.3 the gap is around 1/2 inch

any reviews on this bike? they're now 22k i'm a little worried about tire availability i've tested it and it's a bike and does what it's supposed to do Being midfat, grip is it's pride I'd say and I find it comfortable for a rigid. It's got the bells and whistles of what the details should be nowadays: tapered ht, internal routing, TA (forgot the rest sorry). I also liked the fact that it used BSA BB. I can't remember if it's boost though. It can take 2 bottles. It's light enough for XC and in the hands of a capable rider, it can climb the podium and/or top 10, which happened several times already this summer of 2017 in timberland and other local races. Geo is XC but can descend (ie Patiis). Don't expect much from the groupset though. Some prefer riding it with 100 fork with 29er wheelset/tires.
