lemme guess how much is this on sept or oct......... if XTR 07 cost only around 43K to 45K in the black market and XT 08 is a lower model than XTR yet newer release than XTR 07 so...... it will cost around 35K to 40K without the wheelset....... what can you say tofi, judex and yukon?

OT:
The DENR proposes Bicycle as an environmental good. If approved, bicycle and bicycle parts will be entering the country tax free! I hope it would help in lowering local bike prices....

OT: i don't think lowering bike prices will encourage bicycle commuting. i think it'll just encourage recreational biking. and local bike parts manufacturers will have a harder time competing cheaper parts for us though if they want to encourage bike commuting, they should advocate bike lanes and do something about the overly polluted crappy air. they're on the right track with high gas prices though OT: The DENR proposes Bicycle as an environmental good. If approved, bicycle and bicycle parts will be entering the country tax free! I hope it would help in lowering local bike prices....

I'm a SRAM boy to, but honestly, seeing these new XTRs and XTs has got me thinking . . . really sweet.
Anyhow, why is that it's just May and yet the 2008 products are already posted in the mfg's websites (Fox, Specialized, Shimano, etc . . .) It keeps getting earlier and earlier. Pretty soon, Jan pa lang next year's lineup na! hehehe

I've been a SRAM guy for years now as well, but since Shimano brought back the trigger shifters-and it shifts like butter to boot- I've gone back to Shimano. They've finally snapped out of it and should phase out the DCL once and for all! I've got Sram Force on my road bike and Shimano DA on the other, I like both, hehe.

too bad the trigger shifters don't have a multi-release option like the 07 XTRs. I REALLY like that feature.

Notice that the XT '08 cranks still have the pinch bolt fastening system for the left crankarm. I was hoping that the lockring system from current XTR crankset would have trickled down to the XT '08 crankset. dehins pa rin pala.
I guess we won't see that until XT 2010 comes along.
I think the XTR lockring system is a cleaner solution to the problem of fastening the left crankarm to the crank spindle. However, I have not yet come across reviews that would confirm if the XTR system is more reliable or stronger than the pinch bolt system. Has anyone started a discussion about the pros & cons of the two systems at Pinoy MTBiker?

it should be cheaper... by the way, some people in singapore have started selling 08 xt stuff (wheelset @ PhP16k, and clipless pedals). Even Jenson has them out... soon they'll be trickling in...
