hmm....bottom out (shock setting too soft)? or shock setting to hard?
either your swingarm is banging on the seat tube (soft shock) or banging on your bottom bracket shell (shock responds too much it's ejecting your swingarm.

I think the monocoque design amplifies the sound.

Yes I heard the same complaint from Broadie/Fastrack users, which is also monocoque.

yes monocoque designs amplifies the sound like the boombox
it maximize the sounds of squeeks and the bashing.
one good thing about it is you can use it as an instrument accompanied it with an a accoustic guitar and there you go.
lasing lasing na!

when does this "kaplang" happens? all drops? flat drops? tranny drops? rock gardens? wash board terrains? just riding along?

have u ridden anything else that's monocoque? a norco, for example, sounds horrible. i have seen quite a few M3s being ridden but (to be fair) I have never ridden one. I didn't hear them being norco-sounding. I will watch out for you when i'm in Whistler again this weekend. surely there is another in the phils that has an M3.

i wouldn't call it 'wasteful investment'. anyways a bike is not an investment... it's a toy. if u like how it rides and u can take the 'noise' it makes then u will be happy w/ it. it performs really well i hear.

Check, you have a slack chain on a DH bike.It usually slaps on the chainstay and your rear derailluer usually hit the underside of the frame where it is mounted when you do a drop.
