Which do you prefer sa wheels mga kosa, may interior o tubeless? Magaan nga bang padyakan ang tubeless o wala lang, arte lang nga ba ito? Palagay ninyo?

I have been using tubeless for more that one year.
Pros: Better rolling, not easy to get flat, better in low pressure, grip better.
Cons: Not easy to mount (need soupy water), need high pressure pump (co2 works), not easy to fix in the trail ( carry super glue works great), little heavy. Tires expensive.

jrso if you're fond of switching tires on one set of rims (slicks to nubbies and back), then tubeless tires may not be the most convenient thing to use, tama ba? on the other hand, heard that these tires can work with really low pressures, giving better traction on down hill technical sections, is this true? how low?

Yes, but remember that tubeless tires only fits with tubeless rims. So far I never seen a slick tires for tubeless. I usually use around 30 psi for climbing and i reduce to 25-28 for downhill and technical section. I never go below that cause of pinch flat.

ok....
sa tubes naman, if the exterior says recommended psi = 35-65, can you still bring the pressure down to 25-30 without damaging your tires?

So far no problem.

As far as I know the tubeless will compatible with tube just remove the tubeless nipple.

Tama lahat si JR about sa pros and cons ng tubeless kaya akoy stick lang muna sa tube. Though, lesser chance of flat ang tubeless there's still possibility so dala ka pa rin spare tube just in case( same thing parin).
bernie, there's available patch kit for tubeless but cuts more than 5mm siguro palit kana nang tires. If you want thers a kit called stans that will convert ur tire to tubeless, a lot of riders are using it, so far ok ang review.

bernie, medyo nga abnormal ang price, pero mag monitor kalang baka may sale.
Jr, At last na convience narin akong magtubeless, just bought a crossmax xl last week(as my xmas and valentines gift together). Kita ko ito ang gamit mo, kmusta ba performance? i installed maxxis highroller 2.1(f&r). D ko pa kasi ma differentiate ang ride ngayon kasi puro pa ice ang trail.

Hirap lang sa tubeless mabilis ma deflate -- the air gets out thru the inner rubber bushing of the presta valve and then thru each of the spoke nipples and the external o-ring of the valve. I also noticed that after some particularly jarring rides, the air would seep out faster. The hype says that 1 ounce of Stan's sealant should do the trick but a lot of the locals familiar with tubeless setups say that it ain't really true - it's the reason why even Powerbikes won't stock Stan's products. I tried putting Elmer's glue around the inner bushing, waited for the top film to turn translucent, then put on air. OK naman so far. I guess it helped na dehins pa nagharden yung glue which was in contact with the bushing so that it settled into the crevices. Regarding water resistance, air pressure should keep water out so there's little risk of the glue getting wet and loosened from the bushing. Will keep you posted on this experiment. Lastly, try to get tubeless specific patches. The usual patches don't cling as much as the tubeless ones.

Guys,
Again, once you've tried tubeless, you probably won't go back conventional..
Troubleshooting for leaks is really easy..Pagka-assemble ng tire, ilubog sa batya of tubig to see if there is a leak. If so, dismount the tire from the rim and inspect around the rim where the leak is coming from..On mine, its around where the rim is welded together..Apply silicon glue around the broken seal, put half a bottle of 'slime' sealant in the tire prior to reassembly and walla, your in for a long flat free ride..
The pros and cons by JR are true..It's expensive but worth the comfort and returns..
Fyi,

I havent tried Tubeless yet but I guess I'm willing to try this technology... pros (from what I gathered) - save some weight on tubes - no "snakebites" - you can run with less pressure for better traction - less susceptible to flats Cons: - Tires/Rims more expensive than conventional - Air Leaks on seals (case to case) - did I say Expensive? hehehe Latex and sealant has been bridging the gaps between the tubeless & conventional rims also same as the use for tubeless & tube type tires. Been reading a lot of claims that they're rig (non-tubeless tires on non-tubeless rims with Stan's) blowing up on them while mounting..... messing up latex all over the place but considering the wheelset XT Disc/MavicX3.1 with DB spoke already weighs more than 2kg (F&R))...plus the tires

just curious... di ba yung weight penalty na namention ni warlock is supposed to be offset by the decreased rolling resistance? heavier at stop, but faster while moving?

just curious... di ba yung weight penalty na namention ni warlock is supposed to be offset by the decreased rolling resistance? heavier at stop, but faster while moving? Guess you're right Gulli..considering the Dynamics or Momentum, heavier object can be faster. But this can be viewed okey if applied force or weight is perpendicular to the ground. Paano kung pedaling uphill? any gain in momentum can be offset again by the weight (considering the angle of inclination) hmm getting to scientific...better ride na alng hahaha

Tubeless or tube? The answer is both.Buy a tubeless wheel and always bring a tube because tubeless wheels are known to leak all the time and easily punctured. In short ,not reliable. As a show bike ,tubeless is good but for XC ride and race ,use the tube.

I've been on tubeless tires for almost six months now and I've yet to regret in shifting from conventionals. My first outing with them was on the trails of Sta. Rosa. (Yung time na mas conti pa ang cemented roads than off-roads.) I ride light XC and I use my UST's on my hardtail.
On a personal point, I run my tires as low as 30 psi and even experimented 25 once at the rear--during my second bout with the Sta. Rosa tracks. Why? Just to see if it can aid/add on suspension. Thing is, I think it came out as expected--lesser butt numbness. So, with that and my Thudbuster, they equal to almost 4 inches of travel.

question guys i used to have a pair of WTB 1.95 on my tires... using inner tubes of course... both blew out after going over some extremely wimpy bumps and a 6 inch gutter.... i tried to upgrade...changed to new interiors from IRC and 2.35 high rollers..... i jumped over a hump near the house... and next thing i knew my rear was flat... again!!! would it help matters if i tried using those pricey DH interiors i spotted at all terra or just the same? save up for those beautiful tubeless rims and wheels.... that s gotta hurt my budget but i am pretty tired of getting flats all the time!!

Check your rim if it trued... I know this is most common problem if the rim is not true.
