put mine to 180... is that right? im about 95 kg No don't ! Max PSI for epicon is only 150 according to the online manual. 150 will be plenty stiff already.

Max PSI for epicon is only 150 according to the online manual. 150 will be plenty stiff already. the fork seals will be stress or damage because of too much air. 100psi is already stiff and can't absorb small bumps. 80-100psi for a comfy ride for me.

Mine was 120 PSI default when I got it from Ross. Just go to your LBS and borrow the Fork/Shock pump ;D Maybe some LBS charge for the use of the pump, some don't. Jim from Ross allows the use of his FOX pump for free. I'm not entirely sure but since I know him, he allows me. A Topeak Fork Pump is around 1,3k-1,5k Plan to get one sometime soon. For the meantime, I'll just borrow from my buddies

Guys, I’m 210lbs. The PSI rating for my weight is 125-130 PSI as per the manual. FOX rates the TALAS to 100 PSI for my weight. I ran the Epicon at 120 PSI for break-in for almost 3weeks. But I find it a little hard and stiff on bumps so I lowered it to 110 PSI, but its still a little stiff for my kind of XC, which is Moderate-Aggressive XC ;D Hehehe I tried to lower it to 100 PSI and I find it ok, then tried 95 PSI which felt way better. Will try to do break-in at 95 PSI then work it up to 100PSI again just to be safe. Is what I’m doing bad for the Epicon since it rates the PSI to be 125-130 PSI for my weight? Will it damage my fork? I know under-inflation is bad but I think 95-100 PSI would be my minimum zone. Please correct me if I’m wrong guys. Thank you so much!

Thank you so much! no problem running a lower PSI as long as it doesn't bottom out. also, the epicon have bottom out protection via spring. enjoy riding! BTW I'm currently running 80 PSI on my epicon to lower my front end for XC riding. now rides like a 100mm fork

@ angelobryantHehehe! Thanks for the tips. What is your weight? My longest travel of my EPICON was 115mm at 95 PSI. Maybe if I lower the PSI it will reach 120mm onwards, but I wont do that. Hehehehe. Im of with 90 - 95 PSI as my safe zone. I wont push the fork to much. Hehehehe

i dont have an epicon but i ran my manitou at 80-90 PSI and i'm 160lbs. more comfy at trail and asphalt. just adjust the PSI if your going to rougher terrain.. in my experience 120 PSI is stiff already in tagaytay trail (ridge3).

the Suntour website still doesn't have this new model of Epicon and other model posted, so we couldn't know yet what improvements this have over the older model or if the price is reasonable for its improvement...
i bought mine Epicon for Ph4500 and come to think of it the price of the newer Epicon cost twice as much and even the newer Duro model cost more than twice, i saw a Durolux model thats sells here at PinoyMTBiker for Ph14,500...
