Hi Kulot Salot, KCNC jockey wheels is only a dry bushing and not a sealed bearing. When it's new, it's working well, but once dirt is penetrate inside the bushing. It's like a grinding compound that will damage the bushing...

@kulot, not really bling but it does seem like that way with the colors and all. KCNC jockey wheels come with sealed ceramic bearings. bongjumper, more power to you and to all enterprising Pinoys. send me a PM once the dust has settled, economies of scale have been achieved, a longer learning curve and quality standards are in place, patent applied for, etc. etc. wouldn't it be great if technology there can trickle into the Philippines? I've a plant manager before who bought a used roll forming machine for roofing materials, he just applied what he learned in Saudi Arabia and applied a patent for it. Now, I need an appointment just to see him.

So, you've finally revealed it, Bong. Ok, I'm convinced, pa-order! But, would you have other color/s aside from GOLD? Silver or Black, perhaps? Thanks and regards. Ow yah, I remember when we have a drinking session in makati. I told you about this jockey wheels. No other colors available. I have only small production line. Maybe in the future, when the order is big, more colors will be avialable. What is your RD??? Shimano and SRAM? the design is different...

Hi AngeloBryant, OK sir, will put you in the list... Hi Lamok, You're right, I make the bearing larger than the original SRAM jockey wheels for the reason of reliability and strong... But let me see how can I make this parts more bling If I put more holes... I'm always open for feedback for improvement... ;

If I understood you right boss bong, the culprit of this delayed shifting is the horizontal play of the bearing/bushing.
Considering that other stock bearing/bushing of sram & shimano exhibits a horizontal play, and the solution to this is a sealed cartridge bearing (that has no horizontal play)…
What if… the bushing for the shimano or the kcnc is manufactured to close tolerance that the horizontal play is now nil…
Would this also solve the delayed shifting of the RD?

Hi Kulot S, You are perfectly correct...
KCNC and Shimano parts dimension is highly precise. When the parts is still new, it works well, but after a few months of usage when dirt and grimes penetrate the bushing. That's the time you will feel delayed in the shifting response of the RD...

Any thoughts on the chainline (both angle and length), stiffness of the derrailleur cage (or worse, loose RD bolts), as well as correct BB shell vis-a-vis BB as primary causes?
Can jockey wheel play and delayed shifting response be considered symptoms or primary causes?
