I don't own Kamikazes but I'd readily attest to the quality of Groundzeros. The look great, feel great and as I recently discovered, they rock when used as board shorts. You have to remove the padding though because if you don't, you'll like like you're wearing a diaper underneath.

I own Ground Zero shorts and like them because of their design and comfort. Designed by mountain bikers for mountain bikers. I only wish that they'd come up with more design options. Kamikaze at seems to have more design options even those that are specific to women riders.

a former kamikaze mtb short user [kazkazero] model...grabee..supa hotta-hotta, the fabric is so heavy but with good quality. then switch to groundzero [ '07 model xc mtb short ] bingo! i really really like the gz, it's lighter/stylish and more comfort for biking.
no vote for me......abstained.....
but in the end it still proudly pinoy made products:
much prefer the bahag it's more rainbow color than the talahib.....har-har-har...............

Both brand have good quality and very reasonable price. and the design is also up to date... Compare to branded name like Fox, dabomb, manituo...etc...etc... made in China and the price is triple... the design is more on brand name ads but not for the purpose of comfortability of the user and the quality is from low cost production... For me, kamikaze and ground Zero... I use both brand, I buy which design I like... Support our own brand name...

Both are great mtb shorts. It's just that gz's are more versatile coz of the detachable pads which easily converts them into an adventure/mountaineering/hiking shorts. But Kamikaze's pads are thinner and softer that it could also be used for other sporting activities.
GZ's fabric more durable I guess. Kamikaze is more comfy. Both stylish. Great Filipino products!!!

i have both shorts and i agree with everyone that these 2 are bang for the buck shorts but for me, in terms of quality and comfort - i'd rate GZ at no. 1 and K at no. 2 i also have 2 pairs of pitman unpadded shorts - and i also wear them a lot on the saddle and for everyday casual wear ;D

and if i may suggest - i think it's time for someone to look into coming up with an official PinoyMTBiker baggy shorts and/or pants we now have PinoyMTBiker jerseys, socks and caps so what we need now are PinoyMTBiker shorts and perhaps gloves to complement the jerseys, socks and caps ;D and lastly, some riders may also want some PinoyMTBiker stickers for our frames and helmets ;D so guys - what do ya think ;D

I use GZ because of size issues. I wish though that they would make shorts where the pads would be connected to an inner liner and not the shorts itself. I dont like the pads moving around. And a better garter for the waist area so the shorts don't ride down.
