I have more GZ shorts than Kamikaze. For me it's a matter of size. GZ's sizes are bigger compared to Kamikaze.

Hmm....I'd rate the same for both brands. I find my Kamikaze light and quick drying but not really nice when it comes to the right fit. Ground Zero on the other hand fits me good but the material and construction is a bit hot and heavy.
I wonder when will Bombproof make shorts for cyclists, he he he.

I like the fit of Ground Zero over Kamikaze. I also like how the buckle of GZ shorts is on the side rather than up at the center, minor thing, but it means muc in comfort when you're leaning forward. Like the design of GZ better as well.

bottomline, it's good we have these options rather than wearing basketball shorts or those expensive imported shorts like Fox. End of the day, am just happy there are Pinoys who put up this business. Go Pinoy!

I have 2 kamikaze shorts, the one i got way back 2002 are more stronger and better construction than the one i got just few months ago. the padding on the latest is thinning fast, the velcro on the pockets are poor (wears out fast). maybe i got a lemon short??
Haven't tried ground zero cycling shorts, I have a pair of their hiking pants though. I find the pants is a bit heavy due to the material used i think, thus takes longger to dry.

jarod, says here you're from Pasay. I believe some Cartimar shops carry both brands. Although normally I buy from mountaineering shops.

i have the ground zero and kamikaze both. but i like the fit of ground zero because of the loose look. the kamikaze shorts are better for the line of padding and protection for me because of the thicker material used in the hips areas. the GZ has an annoying pad for the saddle which has embarrased me a couple times when we had a chest deep river cross and a dip in batlag the pads always falls and get left behind under the sun. herheheheh

Got 2 of Kamikaze shorts. IMHO it looks nice but poor in quality. Specially the pockets, it easily gets holes.

Are there size forty plus GZ shorts? the XL size of GZ shorts should fit 40+ waistlines. i got one and chose the baggy over the xc line cause its a bit larger in sizing. got them at Ross in Cartimar btw if anyone asks, my waistline is still 29 ok? hehehe!

I agree with uly.... 2 thumbs up to mr. santos 2thumbs up for mr. bagtas homegrown outdoor gear and apparel here in our country have gone a long way from their roots, a long long time ago when only a few entrepreneurs braved to compete against the foreign brands that dominated the market... from the basements and garages they started to the point that today they're in the malls, your local bike shop and everywhere....... having GZ n Kamikaze just gives us a wider selection of designs and styles for outdoor apparel..... and now its 2007 wow DH shorts that wont shred on impact or if you twist ur legs in the wrong places while buckling for impact ... ;D and for 1 thousand bucks!!! ;D lol now whats the VS stand for? ;D Vilma Santos! ;D
