I woke up around 3:00 am this morning. Because of the brown out in our place. Waited till 4:00 am before electricity come in. Got off my bed around 4:20 am and head for MINISTOP Escolta for breakfast. Leave Chowking San Mateo and got home around 11:00 am
those are some of my fantastic shots on my storm solo flight ride. I got alot of fantastic experience there being blown by wind and being water blast by the rain. going there and back, I got several flood crossings and temperature there is extremely cold. there are fogs all over Timberland. thats why I didn't push thru giant. But don't worry I am still a survivor of this storm.
And I will be back. and conquer Giant again in my part 3 of the maarat solo flight ride. I didn't make it now but I prove to myself that I am a monster. fighting storms and coming back in one piece. ;D ;D ;D

Dang! Tha'ts one crazy epic ride.
Only Charlie can cook up a storm.
Any flying roofs or uprooted trees around during your ride?
Thanks for sharing! As Tolits said, you wont forget this ride.
Your Da Man!

water blasting and gusty winds. have no match for this monster. I will be back with my success to Giant in Part 3 of my Maarat solo Flight. By the way, I didn't see any flying roof and uprooted trees but falling mangoes that is and slapping leaves.

It must be because of the beard and mustache that makes him aerodynamically strong...plus the lean body...I really envy you Doc Charlie...

going uphill there at the wall is easy but going down is hard due to the strong winds and water blasting rain. it make my norco slide sideways. but the experience is unforgetable. If you go up in this stormy weather a weight winnie bike won't work. you will be just blown away by the wind. the test is proven that my bike is still light weight. but it proves effective in storm attack. the feeling is amazing. my body is like being freeze. I feel no pain, no cramps, not tired and strong. one i reach Ka tobias, the pressure in my body changes. after that once i got down to the columbury my ears started to pop like a pop corn due to the changes of elevated pressure. But I still Out Wit, Out Play, Out Last: Survivor Maarat ;D
Note: weight winnie bikes are good for racing not for storm attack and workout ride.

First time ever to read a review of MT Bike and Fork done at the height of onslaught of Storm Signal #3. This one should land on some pages of MTB Magazine. I was not surprised with bike performance but the rider never failed to stunned me with his way of pushing his ability to the limits. brad - Safety is simple as ABC - Always Be Careful....

Caveat (warning, beware)!
The brain is such a fragile organ, do not subject the skull to repeated trauma...
Translates into: Wag gayahin si Charlie (those who are watching this, do not do this ever!)
These stunts are done by professionals, with years of training and experience!)
P.S. Stay away from leaves also... Stay posi !
P.P.S. This Chivas Regal ride is sponsored by Taba! Thank you!

though charlie is a monster rider, i also wouldn't recommend riding with the typhoon. it's like riding without helmet!!
pero galing mo tol...bow.

WARNING: professional MTbiker. Please dont try this stunt if you dont know how to die ;D, I mean if you dont have any knowledge of what you're doing ;D
It is doable but very dangerous, Some of the dangers are,
Open manholes that can swallow people and bike's wheel. Unseen potholes and all kinds of bumps(lubak) under the flood. Water borne bacterias. Water in your wheels, BBs and cable lines ;D
In the open field or trail, slippery, muddy. Water rising too fast. Strong current in river crossings. Falling trees or branches. Flying debris such as umbrella, leaves, branches and roofs.
Ride safe! Ride smart!

Holy cow ... I've tried biking at MOA during typhoon signal #2 and I I got blown by the wind backwards and sideways no matter how hard I pedal. It was such a scary experience that I would never try to do it again. I certainly won't try doing Maarat during signal #3! Bow to the naughty professor. We are not worthy!!!
