reminder kahit 2.0 yung specialized its like having 2.3 from other brands mataas talaga design nila.

polpan: stay with 2.1's, you've burly rims brad, dynomite or ignitor, you won't go wrong, i've used this in taytay, got good grip. and i hope you heed my advice, silly rabbit...... any rider who gets to put in the next phrase to "silly rabbit... " gets a FOX cap from yours truly but: you also have to post what famous recent movie it was mentioned. remember, that's 2 questions you need to answer, ok!?

The ignitor rolls fast but it wears too da*n quick esp if you spend considerable amount of time pedalling on the road going to trails (or spinning on urban trails). check out the net reviews. seen it too from a coupla friends back home.
The dynomite is quite an old model from Maxxis an it's not even on their site anymore.
you can also try ritchey and tioga tires (dami mura)

it says on the side of the tires.... 60a, 42.... and so on. just says MINION and that's it? OEM myb? oem is single ply. aftermarket is dual ply, less pinch flat, stronger sidewalls.

i've got wtb nanoraptors, semi-slicks hard to wear out, very minimal roll resist, great on the trail, but not friends with ruts! it'll slide you in especially big canal-like ruts. per allegra's comment on the ignitors, true, wears fast. he also mentioned it rips apart. what's a poor rider to do?

There's alot written but I cant read because of the dirt It's probably double ply, havent pinch flatted that yet even though the trails here are rocky Are there different versions of maxxis minions? Thought there was only one

most mtn tire from maxxis comes in diff durometers.... 60a, 50 (some), slow reezay 40a, and super tacky ST 42. the last 2 comes in some funky looking letters so it's quite visible.
depending on these models then u get the a stickier rubber but less hard wearing. if there's no designation then i would guess it to be an OEM.
the kenda's stick-e are similar... it's softer to conform better on surfaces (grips) but somehow it wears well.

i use to have a WTB. it came w/ the bullit. after 2 rides or so i took them off and gathering dust in the basement. offered no grips for me, but that was a few years back. i think their newer ones actually are softer now and much better.

I use Maxxis Larsen Oriflame semi slick on my road wheelset. They cost about 350 each from Allterra. Currently using Continental Explorer Pro tubeless on my other wheelset. Haven't worn them out yet but looks like I have a few more miles left on them.
Considering Kenda Nevegal 1.95 as replacement. My friend has a pair of 1.95s they look as fat as my Conti 2.1's!
Any other tubeless tire recommendations?

jpchan,
kenda's width designation are much more actual than what others have been advertising. maxxis are under and i'm assumming the same goes for contis. i have personally measure my maxxis and my kenda... kenda is pretty bang-on.

am eyeing a pair of specialized pro, roll-x race, model tires. says in the casing "made in taiwan". fake or not? any feedback on this tire? is it any good for climbing or handling ruts? thanks in advance.
