I use to endorse spyder sunglasses... not anymore!!! They're cheap alright... but after breaking several, I find its not worth the buck... the last pair of lens was my anti-virus... I broke the frame after only using it once. I went back to complain about the product hoping that It would be considered for replacement. I was turned down, saying they would only replace defective items after 3 days. I ask if I could buy only the frame, since I would not need 6 pairs of lenses... I was advised to buy an entire new set. With discount? NONE!!! I bought it wednesday, broke it on saturday, I was resturning it monday... nada... Huh... I was not satisfied with the product & I would buy 2? No way!!! Spyder people aren't good in handling customers... does their lenses sucks too. 1,800 used only once. Yes its cheap, but it doesn't last long, very disposable, not worth the money. Sorry Guys... you lost a loyal customer... & I'll make sure that those who would ask my opinion will be turned off to your products. Im just wondering what happen to the quality of Spyder Sunglasses... I don't know if it's really true... Rudy Project and Spyder Sunglasses are manufactured under one roof... and if you would look upon the logo of the two products... there is indeed a kind of sort of resemblance... I can say this because I tried to look for the Spyder brand and tried (almost all the designs and lenses that the store has in-stock) if they are really worth it for a day to day use for us to avoid our sight being damage by the sun's UV rays, etc. or the glasses itself may harm our vision... if this is the case why is it the quality of the Spider lens distorts... I hope they will improve (Spyder Glasses) the quality of their lenses because they do have a line of funky and cool designs... I went to megamall yesterday and happen to pass by somewhere in cyberzone where there's a stall of SPYDER sunglasses. I asked the sales lady if I can buy a frame only if in case I broke the one that I bought from them, she told me that I could either have it repaired (frame damage and not "stem" i don't know what its called) then it'll cost me around P350 or buy a new frame worth P650. BTW, the model of my spyder is OZONE. The availability of new frame could take 1 month (the most) depending on the stock.

For a little over 1K - it's Fury. 'Got the model that has provision for corrective lenses. It provides great eye coverage, light weight, and has interchangeable lenses for those of us who'd like to wear only one pair of sunglasses.

I got a pair of spalding sunglasses with replaceable lens. Lenses that came with the frame includes a polarized lens (good for driving btw), amber, and the regular blue shaded biking lens. Got it for P795 which was originally P1600. No fogging since clearance from face to lens is good, minimal distortion, light weight, lens is made of policarbonate. Used it thrice already on road rides and its perfect for me.

Budget Wise - I am using spider, only 1,200, 3 pair of lens, with head holder ( mask type ), no fogging and shock proof ( at a certain pressure, normal bagsak )

I was not able to read the experiences of the peeps who bought the Spyder shades antivirus model thus I became a victim myself. I was only able to use the freakin shades for two months afterwhich the frame broke. It was only normal wear with occasional bike rides. Although the purchase price was cheaper, for two month use it would be much much expensive than my oakley which I was able to use for five years. No more Spyder shades for me!

i'm currently using rudy project's kalyos for trail riding. it is expensive but it's a bit old already so i use it anyway. On a more budget scale, i would like to use spyder. Don't they have shades with polarized lenses?

For a little over 1K - it's Fury. 'Got the model that has provision for corrective lenses. It provides great eye coverage, light weight, and has interchangeable lenses for those of us who'd like to wear only one pair of sunglasses. before buying my Rudy Project (RP) Ekynox SX sunglasses, I was using Fury as it’s one of the very limited brands with optical insert (prescription lenses) for someone like me with eyesight problems and the issue I have with fury are the optical insert metal frame – they got corroded easily with exposure to sweat – well I sweat a lot on both heads (upper and lower heads) ;D overall, I personally think that Fury plastic frames and lenses are reasonably price for the quality it offers and i highly recommend it to riders who don’t need prescription lenses. but if you do need the optical insert – i think and it is best that you just have to clean and dry it immediately after usage to minimize if not prevent corrosion - that is if you sweat a lot like me on the other hand, if you want a RP sunglasses with optical insert – then one of your choices is the RP Ekynox SX sunglasses. the optical insert frame – as claimed by RP is made up of titanium – so goodbye corrosion. RP sunglasses may be expensive – but it’s truly a performance and quality product
