AXN Polarized ranges from 400-700 pesos only. Decent enough, beware of the fifty peso shades, it will damaged your eyes later.

have that problem too. i read somewhere that the drops used for diving masks to prevent fogging works for glasses too. haven't tried it yet though... the one for diving? we use toothpaste. i also remember the time when our diving instructor refer to this certain bottle of liquid as "anti-fog solution", although i'm pretty sure it was just shampoo. toothpaste and the "anti-fog solution" works in diving, but isn't fogging in diving masks different from fogging sunglasses? i have to remember to try that though any other riders have a solution? I read in one of the scuba forums that there is one good altrnative to fogging lenses. As gross as it may sound, its your own saliva. It's cheap and readily available I do this when I go swimming on the beach or in a pool and it works but haven't tried it yet on a pair of shades since mine doesn't fog. Again this is tested in fogging swimming goggles and i'm not sure on shades.

it will work on shades, but the difference between biking and swimming/diving is, there isn't always an abundant source of water to wash off your saliva when biking.

But as long as I can help it.. I use anti fog from speedo.

a bit of OT: for diving or swimming in rivers we scrub any type of water weed/lily we find in the water on our goggles...no need to scrub it hard...just enough to make the slimmy stuff spread on the glass... same thing in salt water.

for diving i use toothpaste but not the heavily mentholated ones because it is irritating to the eyes. i have yet to try it with sunglasses though, but it's same principle i guess. one thing i noticed is that it's the sweat that causes fogging in my sunglasses and i took care of this by wearing a halo headband. this headband prevents the sweat from flowing to my eye area, and channels the sweat to flow to my temples instead...

anyone used mojave sunglases? the one featured on home TV shopping, they say its indestructible , and doesn't have those magnification problems mentioned. they are not manufactured in the states... i have bought plenty that has lens that magnify....i bought mine for 2500...a wish i added a lil more instead for a simple but descent rudy project. Just recently... I have proven my Rudy Project for it's worthy price...it maybe as high as 3700 but the function and the high quality with virtuality no refraction is one thing I'm happy about... when I pick up my bike at Sir Jingos Cycle Zone at Alabang... I used my Rudy Project "KUOMO" (correct me if I'm wrong with the model). at high noon and it did whats it's supposed to do... and about the MOJAVE...i remember I had some lenses that doesn't distort/refract with a real high quality vision too... luckily I've found them in my room under my bed...and wonder what the hell is it doing there... all I can say... we people own a bike which cost around 20K or so...why not go for a quality piece of eyewear... don't take your visions for granted settle for a good pair of sunglasses... this is not an advertisement... just a friendly advice...My vision is once affected by those cheap brands especially that brand which is found in SM branches... CURSE 'EM...

i would definitley recommend oakley m-frames. but for the budget conscious, i just accompanied a friend in purchasing cyberhades' x-loop model, very affordable at nearly php500 a piece. it is light-weight, comfortable, snug-fit and has good protection. i even found myself popping a grand to get the dark and clear-lensed models. spyder also has good models at reasonable prices also. before, i was contemplating on getting protective eyewear with interchangeable lens. But my concern is, with the changing of lenses, won't the fit as to the frame and lens be affected in the long run? i hope someone comments on this. thanks curahee!

icei used to have Mojave shades. it's got 6 interchangeable lenses. the lens is plastic made by GE, then the frame is some sort of rubberized plastic. both are pretty durable and did not die out on me in the long run. i'm not sure about other brands on the market though

But the main bootom line is whatever you choose that is reasonable in price but of high quality go for it. Just my dos centimos ;D

Im just wondering what happen to the quality of Spyder Sunglasses... I don't know if it's really true... Rudy Project and Spyder Sunglasses are manufactured under one roof... and if you would look upon the logo of the two products... there is indeed a kind of sort of resemblance... I can say this because I tried to look for the Spyder brand and tried (almost all the designs and lenses that the store has in-stock) if they are really worth it for a day to day use for us to avoid our sight being damage by the sun's UV rays, etc. or the glasses itself may harm our vision... if this is the case why is it the quality of the Spider lens distorts... I hope they will improve (Spyder Glasses) the quality of their lenses because they do have a line of funky and cool designs...

Here's my review of the Specialized Chicane. Google for images.
I got it from Dan's bike shop, I was planning to get the Singletrack model but they ran out of it. Anyway, I got the Chicane with a blue frame. The photochromatic lenses are nice, they do change their shade depending on how bright the sun is. You'd barely notice it changing though.
It has anti-fog properties but it still gets foggy when i after pedalling hard and resting. I think the shape of my face has something to do with it. The glasses are balanced but for some reason it sort of envelopes the left side of my face than my right side.
Clarity is no contest, I was used to the clarity of my Mojave shades, no distortion whatsoever. The Chicane did the same, which is nice....this baby costs a lot. Cleaning the oil out of the lenses is a bit tricky. The manual says to use the microfiber pouch, but I still wash it with some soap and water.
Clarity: 5/5 Price: 4/5 Weight: 5/5

AXN is a good brand. I had the polarize version until somebody's fat ass sit on it. I switch to Sprinto Polarize. P800 peso. Ploarize Sunglass Rules!

i suggest you better invest in good sunglasses... i use rudy project kerosene golf and had encountered no problems at all. while it IS expensive, you cannot rate the true value unless you own one. it came with a racing red lenses (i use it everyday, as in day and night; no problem with visibility... and a spare smoke black lens which i later found to have a fitting problem, i went to rudy project main office at tektite towers and they replace it on the spot. i was also given a new nose pad for free! (100pesos at stalls) and a new rudy sticker logo for my frame! good deal isnt it? now after 2 1/2 years of use, the frame starts to have scratches and paints starts to fade, i waS adviced by the store's saleslady to go to the main office to ask for their help regarding this matter and the office told me that i can bring my rudy's there to have it repainted for a minimal amount... BEAT that! sunglasses like new again! and u can also trade up your old lenses for a new only for 850pesos (as long as it is the same color)... no other sunglass company (not even oakley's can beat that, btw they dont have exclusive distributors here in the phils) can give you the same after sales services that what rudy project had done to me... invest in good sunglasses and enjoy the rides!

I use to endorse spyder sunglasses... not anymore!!! They're cheap alright... but after breaking several, I find its not worth the buck... the last pair of lens was my anti-virus... I broke the frame after only using it once. I went back to complain about the product hoping that It would be considered for replacement. I was turned down, saying they would only replace defective items after 3 days. I ask if I could buy only the frame, since I would not need 6 pairs of lenses... I was advised to buy an entire new set. With discount? NONE!!! I bought it wednesday, broke it on saturday, I was resturning it monday... nada... Huh... I was not satisfied with the product & I would buy 2? No way!!! Spyder people aren't good in handling customers... does their lenses sucks too. 1,800 used only once. Yes its cheap, but it doesn't last long, very disposable, not worth the money. Sorry Guys... you lost a loyal customer... & I'll make sure that those who would ask my opinion will be turned off to your products. Just sharing my experience w/ Rudy..... After going thru this thread, I realized that I still have an old Rudy hiding somewhere in my drawer. I finally found it and thought of trading in the old lens to a different color/shade. I went to Rudy ATC, and saw a lens I liked, now the problem is that it doesn't really match my old used and abused frame color. The salesman said since I like the color of the new lens so much, he offered to trade a brand spanking new frame that matches plus the new lens with my old frame.
Bottom line, I now have a new and scratch free frame + new lens + a soft cloth case + lens case all for the price of just the lens. Also, I could have just paid a third of the price of the lens (only) if I traded in the old one, but I decided to just keep it for future use. Old to new frame trade = free! ;D

I traded it at Rudy Project Alabang Town Center! Note: I didn't even buy my shades there, and yet they swapped it with a new one. I don't even have the original receipt.
