Great photos! Great race! A Glorious Day for XC Enduro MTBiking ..permanent overcast, slight drizzle and minimal mud Our Sabak friends delivered once again ! Kudos to Ricky, Norman, Boy, Ted, Teddy, Tom, Edwin, Nani and Raoul! great job guys! nerdy & OC is good admin Ricky was teasing racers specially the DHers to jump the step up jump ...glad to oblige pare! I heard there was a hiccup with the team results but let the others post it as I left earlier. Overall 5 out of 5 chilis! a Certified Fun Racers' Must-do Event

The race wouldn't have been possible without the support of our sponsors: Suunto and Time Depot R.O.X. Fuji YKL Sunbolt WTB XFM 92.3, our official radio partner Petron Greenhills Fitness First Waling Waling Resort, Boracay Wham Burgers Pocari Sweat Coca-Cola and of course, Filinvest Corporate City for the FiliCity MTB Park 207 riders raced yesterday and it was a great sight watching everyone go through the mudbogs with such gusto and make it back to the finish line, complaining but with such huge smiles on their faces. priceless! the photo van was just overwhelmed by the number of riders and photos that they took that they couldn't accommodate all the guys and girls who wanted a printout of their race photo. we will have the contact prints by this week, orders may be taken at all sabak outlets for those who wish to order prints of their action shots (lots of great shots of bikers taking the jump, both intentionally and accidentally, hehehe). will post a few more pics soon but here are a few shots from the registration ceremonies: fitness first alabang's rpm instructors leading the group in some pre-race stretching. it looked like everyone was enjoying this part! . special guest gary valenciano was on hand to lead everyone in prayer for the break in the weather we had yesterday (we were actually under signal no. 1!) and to flag off the racers at the le mans start. and lastly, some pmtbikers at the race...

Hahaha! nope... not a ghost. a group of guys wearing barong tagalog showed up on the hill to cheer for their friend on the track. i thought it'd be funny to post it here. hehehe!

i agree, that shot of the guy in the barong has to be the best shot of the race that i've seen so far! good one, knobbyist!
as ricky and i were walking through the pitlane on one of our visits to the marshal stations, we saw a lancer rally car with a barong hanging in the back. must've been from the same group.

It gave me a focus point to go round after round thanks! i'll get the cd from fuji ykl sometime this week after they sort the pics per race number. i think at one time they had 2 photographers covering 2 angles of that jump. i also have a couple of good shots from the pipeline, transition area and the back stretch. those will be included in the photos from fuji. will let you know when the contact prints are available for viewing at sabak prints may be ordered through the shop.

What a great race! Had a great time hanging out with good friends doing what we enjoy most - hammering out the miles on two wheels! Congrats and thanks to the Sabak boys - Idol Lolo Ricky, General Boy, Kuyangs Ted, Norman, Tom and the rest of the crew, for giving us a great event, building us a wonderful playground and for constantly being in the forefront of developing the biking scene here in the RP Thanks to El Kusinero (Donnie) and his wife Monina, who rolled out the red carpet for the off-road barkada - they got us tents, brought in a couch and a massage table, and provided a masahista for us the whole time! They hired a caterer just for us with a buffet table of super-delicious food and drinks from morning till midnight! They brought us kiosks of potato corner, fruit shakes, squidballs and kikiam, we were just drowning in food and drinks the whole race! And the best part - Donnie and Monina as owners of Waling resort in Boracay put up a promo booth which only means one thing - gorgeous promo girls!!! Thanks to Kuya Boy of LCA who provided the generator driven mercury lamps that lit up the race area the whole night! He was in Team LCA Sex Bomb with his son Harlan and good buddy Gilbert, finishing strong with a little less than 30 laps each. Thanks to Mon To-ong, Puto, Ronald and Toffer of 199 Offroadhouse for the support, the tent, the transpo, the showtrucks and the great company. I heard you guys set the record for most number of laps to the buffet table! ;D Thanks CobyM for dropping by as well to cheer us on! It was nice seeing good buddies freeman (paul), mountg (jon), kaloi, goku, wreachelle, nvp (noel), hellomoto (raul), alphabolt (arnel) marc, lockheed (kurt) and a host of other super-strong PinoyMTBiker riders who did nothing but ride rings around me the whole day! At my super-slow pace I managed to finish my 25th lap at around 4pm, just in time for the opening of the scotch and the arrival of the lechon! Beside us were jzrm, leo, and the rest of their gang, with their wives and friends, super-strong riders all with top-end gear, they were hammering well into the night without breaking pace. Saw as well the Dan's Bikes crew, Joey, Arman and Tonel, as well as the superhuman Batangas gang. No one could miss the Yellow Cab crew in their flashy outfits, turning out a podium-worthy performance. Boyet Camba of Powerbikes was jumping every lip, hooting and hollering and having a good time! And to my good buddies fatcat (Steven), BryO, El Kusinero (Donnie) and Jun Kona who all went the distance - Yahoo! We did it! Thanks all for a great race and a really good time!
