That's why you should be in tsikot.com. Shush, and go wash some clothes! When are you announcing the 20% discount to PinoyMTBiker members? Back to topic, I'll try to join you guys tomorrow if I feel better. My tummy's been acting up as well Gary. Must've been all the Andok's we ate Tagaytay. Dang, that makes it you, SJ and my brother... I think you maybe right that it was the Andok's chicken... It was so good though!

The last few days we have in the PI have been and will be spent saying our goodbyes, breaking in a new toy and finishing SJ's hazing into the Filipino culture... First the bike content... We took the Wanga (the cracked Ionic's replacement) out yesterday to Maarat and Marikina Heights for a proper breaking in. The sliders surprisingly did not slip up the steep slopes of "The Wall" so we consider it a passed test. I only had to tweak the saddle height, tilt and set back for the bike to feel comfortable. I also had to adjust the chainlength (via the sliders) a bit so I can run it dinglespeed... Even though it is shorter than I'm used to for a SS, it's about the same position as the 575 so the adjustment to the riding position only took one ride... Here are some gratuitous bike porn... Yes, it's still a dingle... No slippage up The Wall beneath me or SJ which is what I was worried about it... SJ and Kuya Ferdie past the steep part and on to the TImberland gates... After touring my old home and high school (Marist) in Marikina Heights, it was time for some breakfast at this really cool place called Pan de Amerikana run by another Marist graduate (June)... Good food and good prices (plus excellent wheat pandesal!)... SJ's initiation to the PI continued with her first experience with Balut. The few San Miguel Lights before always makes the balut taste a lot better! Yummmy! And finally, my favorite sign of the trip so far... My type of restaurant...

EAT! hehehe Like it? She loved it. She destroyed the goto and tokwa't baboy and thoroughly enjoyed the saging con ielo (she even slurped up the syrup!)... No worries about the ride. I didn't get up until 630am this morning (and I don't expect SJ to get up until 9am-ish) since we didn't get home from the X-Terra Team Party/Despedida until after 1am... She's going to have a nasty hangover I think as she was mixing SML , red and white wine...

Hey Gary sorry I wasn't able to join the party and say goodbye to you and SJ. I haven't been feeling too well these past few days and my schedule at work has been really hectic. Until next year!

After another small despedida celebration with my aunts, it was time to go home. Our flight to our first leg (Incheon, Korea) was at midnight and we had a 12 hour layover... So we took advantage of the Asiana Biz Class Lounge and used their massager for an hour or two. Oh yeah, we also ate and drank a lot as usual... At the Manila Airport reading some Men's Health mags courtesy of Agu... The Massager at the Asiana BC Lounge. The thing had so many settings (with all the instructions in Korean) that we just started hitting buttons... I need to get one of these things for the house... Electronic Bidet and Butt Blow Dryer. Another thing on my list to have at the house... I've never had my butt blown before... hehe It even flushes automatically. They had spectacles at Immigration... Interesting... They were chained to the tables just like the pens... On the way to the Buddhist Temple in Incheon. Cost of the tour was $5. Getting out of the airport into the crisp cold air and walking a little... Priceless... Grandfather Tree (1300 years old!).. Because the stem was hollow, it's been filled with concrete for support. However, the tree is still very much alive. Our guide: "G1" Amazing paint on the temples... Kimchi/Kimchee (these have beans inside them) being fermented. On a bike related note, we shared the tour with a couple from France who is on a 6 month self supported bike tour of India, Mongolia, Tibet and China. They were having problems getting a visa through China because of political problems with Tibet... What a great and personal way to see the world...
