Take it from the expert ^^^^^^ Low is good, a lot of pull you can do on a low bike and if you fall it aint that high (yeah ... sure hehe) hahaha. & if you have a low seat you also have a low risk of having your egg beaten up. ;D

nice bike dakarider. lower your seat & cut your steerer tube, the lower the better handling you'll get on your bike ;D Thanks brad! As you suggested Sir ewik ;D: P.S. WOW! Great actions pics Sir Patrick!

for me its nice already..but if it's mine, I'll remove the the shifter and turn it in to SS for weight saving purposes...and its kinda contradict the chain tensioner that you put...but all in all i like it...nice bike you got there brad

brad for trials we use 22t front x 19t rear..some use 18tx16t...Its so low gear, you will suffer if you pedal from place to place but you'll get to use it in the long run...for street ask ewik or joey(alienscream) I'm not familiar with their gearing..I think they're using a higher gear but not sure with the combination...my other streeter friends uses 24tx15t

sir ewik im planning to use slick tires... what should be the size??? will 2.35 will do???im a 6footer and weigths 180lbs... i it ok to use checker frame and the marz dj3? nikkocholo told me that the height of the bb will be an issue??

brad, if your riding trials bb height will be an issue...for street I'm not sure...for tires look for double wall to avoid pinch flat - I learned that the hard way...2.35 will do you just fine...handle bar? funn I guess..before I'm using answer alumlite and it feels good...da bomb also good..a dj friend of mine said he is using da bomb cut to 24" ata or 25" for better bar spin daw...trials uses 27"-31" for better control hehehe
ewik - I did use 36-15 heavy ehhehe

thing is, i wanna try to do trials on it as well without losing the "urbanness" of the setup
what parts must i change?
what should i do?

nice set up brad but purely street... first thing you should change is your gearing..we use 22/19, 22/18, 18/16, 18/15 and the like...1:1 gearing for better pedal manipulation most of trials rider uses a rigid fork, so it won't eat all the energy when doing front moves.if you wanna use suspension fork, set the rebound to the maximum rigidity, or better use the one with lock out thing to shorten the travel..If you wanna go rigid, look for longer fork so your bb height will not fall down...the higher the bb the easier to get on your rear wheel, and less effort for pedal stroke single speed is fine hubs are fine we use Vbrake on the rear, so rim should be vbrake compatible..if not, better grind its side wall for vbrake compatibility also, trials bike must have 2 brake set up...Vees front & rear / vees rear, disc front / rim brake rear, disc front / rim brake front & rear...we use vees or rim brakes on the rear for a sudden stop and lock of the rear tire... also use double walled dh tires 2.35-2.5 x 26 use long high riser stem if you could find, use the longest available hbar and better yet ride with us hope I helped
